Don’t Enter the Wrong Deal

In the film business, a great story is not enough. A great script is not enough. Even money is not enough. The people behind the deal can make or break the journey. Step into the wrong partnership, and a project that should have flown can become a chain around your neck.

Cut to -

Never do business with people who lack maturity or don’t understand the basics of business. The danger is not always visible on day one. The real trouble starts later—when you can’t move forward, can’t easily walk away, and find yourself spending your time, energy and peace of mind dealing with problems you never needed to have.

That’s why, in the film industry, choosing the people is as important as choosing the project.

Not every offer is an opportunity.
Not every handshake deserves a deal.

Not every person who wants to enter your film deserves a place in your journey.

Film is a battlefield. You need guts to enter the field, conviction to stay in the game, and wisdom to know who should stand beside you when the battle begins.

Turn Pro

The difference between an amateur and a professional is rarely talent. More often, it is habits.

An amateur does something when he feels like it.

A professional does it because it has become part of who he is.

Your habits quietly decide your standards. Your standards decide your actions. And your actions, repeated long enough, decide your results. So if you want to change your status, don't just wish for a better outcome.

Change what you repeatedly do.

Stop saying, “I’m trying.” Start doing. Show up. Practice. Improve. Repeat.

Let your habits prove what your words promise.

Change your habits. Change your standards. Change your status. Turn Pro.

Sometimes I think of blogging as finger exercises for a violinist. Sometimes I think of it as mulching a garden. And sometimes, I think of it as my fascinating girlfriend.

Whatever it is, I love it. It keeps me writing, thinking, experimenting—and it makes my “real” writing better.

Maybe You Didn’t Lose Them. Maybe You Were Saved.

Sometimes, people leave your life not because you failed, but because their presence was never meant to stay.

What feels like rejection today may actually be protection.

God may remove the wrong people before they can destroy something precious within you.

So, don’t keep chasing what God has already removed.
Don’t call every goodbye a loss.

Some people are lessons.
Some are warnings.

And some exits are blessings in disguise.

You’re not losing anyone. You’re being divinely protected.

Glamour, Money, Sex & Soul

Glamour can attract you.
Money can impress you.
Sex can excite you.

But none of them can answer the deepest question...
Who are you when all three disappear?

Enjoy glamour.
Create wealth.
Experience desire.

But don't trade your soul for any of them.

Because the richest person isn't the one who owns the most.

It's the one who can enjoy everything—and still remain free.

What Happened to Legendary Amazon?

Twenty-five days after placing an order for one book... this is what Amazon has managed to deliver!

In the meantime, there have been three complaints and four different communications. But my book still hasn't arrived. Apparently, even Amazon doesn't know when it will arrive!

Sometimes I wonder if some of the people working at Amazon today have made it their mission to destroy Jeff Bezos's brand name.

Because that's exactly what my latest, absolutely frustrating experience with Amazon feels like.

Here's what happened.

On September 1, I ordered a book from Amazon.in.

The book did not arrive on the date promised in the tracking information. Instead of the book I ordered, I received a 10-page children's picture book called Cinderella.

I complained the same day. I was asked to take a photo of the book I had received by mistake and upload it. I did that.

Then they gave me another delivery date.

I waited.

The book didn't arrive.

Then I saw a notification in the tracking section saying:

“Your book will arrive by September 24.”

I waited until yesterday.

Today is September 25.

So I filed another complaint—this time on X.

Within 10 minutes, Amazon responded with a comment asking me to click a link and provide the details of my complaint.

Seriously?

Didn't I just complain?

This level of irresponsibility and lack of coordination is beginning to feel worse than a government office that doesn't care about its customers.

And here's another frustrating part:

Every time a new customer service representative contacts me on this complaint, I have to explain my entire problem all over again from the beginning!

There seems to be no value for the customer—or for the customer's time.

There seems to be no coordination between departments and customer service.

And apparently, Amazon itself doesn't know when my book will reach me.

And now I get another shameless notification:

“If you want, you can request a refund.”

This is today's Amazon.

One book. Twenty-five days. Three complaints. Four different communications. And still no book.

What happened to the legendary Amazon?

If someone can get this post to Jeff Bezos, I'd appreciate it.

If I can find his email address, I'll send him this post myself.

One Decision Away

Think about it.

You are probably just one decision away from an entirely new life.

Not fifty.
Not a hundred.
Just one.

One decision to leave.
One decision to begin.

One decision to say no.
One decision to say yes.

One decision to forgive.
One decision to stop making excuses.

One decision to finally do what you have been thinking about for years.

And here is the most interesting part...
You probably already know what that decision is.

You don't need another motivational video.
You don't need another book.

You don't need another sign from the universe.

You may already know.
You know the conversation you need to have.
You know the habit you need to quit.

You know the work you need to start.
You know the person you need to let go of.
You know the risk you need to take.

You know the dream you keep postponing.

But knowing is not the same as deciding.

And deciding is not the same as doing.

That tiny gap between “I know” and “I will” can sometimes contain years of your life.

We often imagine that changing our lives requires a hundred complicated steps.

Sometimes it doesn't.

Sometimes your entire life changes because you finally make one uncompromising decision.

Of course, one decision doesn't magically solve everything.

It changes your direction.
Then your actions change.

Your actions change your habits.
Your habits change your life.

So don't underestimate the power of a decision.

A decision is a doorway.

You don't have to see the entire road before you walk through it.

You just have to be honest enough to open the door.

Maybe your new life isn't waiting for some distant future.

Maybe it is waiting for one decision you already know you need to make.

Think about it.

What is yours?

Gods We Must Never Forget

Parents think about their children’s future and success every moment, right up to their final days. They support them as much as they can. They make countless sacrifices for their children.

Without them, there is nothing.
There is no second opinion about that.
There never will be.

We worship invisible gods with immense devotion. But let us not forget the gods we can see right before our eyes — our parents. Let us not neglect them.

Whatever parents do for their children, children can never truly repay them in equal measure.

A little love.
A few words.
The reassurance that “We are here for you.”

Unfortunately, in today’s circumstances, things are not always like that. For various reasons, it has become increasingly rare for parents and children to live together.

They are somewhere.
We are somewhere else.

No matter how far away we may be, a simple phone call from time to time can bring immense happiness to parents in their old age. And whenever possible, if we visit them and spend a few days with them, there can be no limit to their happiness.

Parents spend their entire lives working and sacrificing for their children. If children fail to show even this much love and responsibility towards their parents, then no matter how much progress they make in life, some unseen problem keeps following them.

If you can believe it, perhaps that is what we call karma.

By the time we understand this, our parents may no longer be with us. And then, regret serves no purpose.

That regret can haunt us forever:

“Oh, how much I neglected them… I could have done so much for them, yet I failed to do it.”

That guilt can completely disturb the peace of our minds.

Think of your parents... from as far back as you can remember.

Give them your love in return. Make arrangements so that they can live their old age without difficulties.

Unless circumstances leave you with no other choice, never commit the sin of abandoning your parents in an old-age home.

You may think, “Those homes are expensive. They will have everything they need. They will be comfortable.”

But that is a mistake.

No comfort can truly make them happy if they cannot be close to their children.

And if your parents have already passed away, remember them on their birthdays or death anniversaries. Revisit their memories.

If, knowingly or unknowingly, you ever neglected them or made a mistake toward them, sincerely ask them for forgiveness.

The guilt within you will begin to disappear.

Wherever parents may be, they always wish for their children’s happiness. They constantly yearn for their children’s well-being.

Whenever you undertake something with a good intention, they bless you, hoping that you will succeed.

With the strength of their blessings, you will be able to accomplish the things you set out to do. Achieving both small and big goals will gradually become a habit.

And you will be happy.

This is not some routine moral lecture or sermon.

This is New Age Science that you must believe in.

No matter how materialistic a maverick I may be in my thinking, I felt it was my responsibility to write this post.

The moment I thought of writing it,
I just kept writing... non-stop.

And as I wrote, I couldn't stop the tears falling from my eyes.

Never Fucking Quit

There will be days when nothing seems to be working.
Nothing.

You try.
You fail.
You try again.
Still nothing.

Your plans collapse.
Money gets tight.
People walk away.
Opportunities disappear.

And slowly, a dangerous thought enters your mind...
“Maybe I should quit.”

Don't.

Never fucking quit, bro.

You have no idea what tomorrow can bring.

Life can go from 0 to 100 in the blink of an eye.

One phone call.
One WhatsApp message.
One meeting.
One idea.
One decision.
One person.
One unexpected opportunity.

And suddenly, everything changes.

The chapter you're desperately trying to escape today may be the very chapter that prepares you for the life you've been waiting for.

So keep moving.

Even if you can move only an inch, move.

Rest if you have to.
Change direction if necessary.
Start over if you must.

But don't confuse a bad phase with a bad life.

Your story isn't over just because this chapter is hard.

Keep going.

Your 0 may be only seconds away from 100.

Never fucking quit, bro.

Survival of the Fittest

Nature doesn’t care about excuses.

It rewards those who adapt, evolve, and survive.

Life is no different.

You may not control the circumstances you are born into.
You may not control what others do.
You may not control the market, the economy, or luck.

But you can become stronger.

Learn more.
Adapt faster.
Take responsibility.
Make decisions.
Take action.

Waiting for life to become fair is not a strategy.

Survival of the fittest is not about being the strongest.
It is about becoming strong enough to adapt.

Do something.

Or keep complaining.

Life will move on anyway.

The Quiet Mind Creates

Ideas are the real currency of the 21st century.

But ideas are not merely thoughts.

Sometimes, they are whispers from within.

A quiet thought that arrives when you are walking alone.
A strange question that refuses to leave you.
A sudden connection between two things nobody else has connected before.

Pay attention.

The mind is constantly producing noise.
The soul speaks more quietly.

That is why you need silence.
You need peace.

Read.
Observe.
Think.
Write.
Paint.
Smile.
And, most importantly, be still.

You don't have to chase great ideas.

Create enough inner space for them to find you.

Not every idea needs to become a business.
Not every thought needs to become content.
Some ideas are simply there to transform you.

And sometimes, the idea that changes your life begins as a very small whisper.

So become an idea machine.

But remain a monk at heart.

Create more.
Consume less.
Think deeply.
Live consciously.

The richest ideas often come from the quietest minds.

— Manohar Chimmani

Become an Idea Machine

Ideas are the real currency of the 21st century.

Money can buy things.
Technology can multiply them.
But a powerful idea can create something that didn’t exist before.

A new business.
A new film.
A new book.
A new short story.
A new music video.
A new way of living.

So don’t just consume ideas.

Collect them. Question them. Connect them. Develop them.

Observe more.
Think more.
Write more.

Keep a notebook. Keep your mind open. Capture the strange thought, the crazy question, the tiny observation.

Most ideas will go nowhere.

That’s okay.

An idea machine doesn’t need every idea to be brilliant.

It simply needs to keep producing.
Keep creating.

Because somewhere among the ordinary ideas may be the one that changes everything.

As James Altucher says -
Become an idea machine.

Business Is a Risk, Not a Guarantee

When you plan to invest in a business, first understand the nature of the business and its possible risks.

Otherwise, you may have to face the consequences later.

Take the film business, for example...

Even a top-ranked producer like Dil Raju—or anyone with decades of experience, deep industry knowledge and a strong grip on the business—can have projects that don't work.

Some films fail.

Some projects get delayed far beyond reasonable timelines.

Some investments don't give the expected returns.

But that doesn't automatically mean the person is inefficient or doesn't understand the business.

It's business, after all.

Like life, business also comes with risks, uncertainties and unexpected outcomes.

You can do everything right and still lose money.

You can make a well-calculated decision and still get an unexpected result.

That's the nature of risk.

Cut to —

Don't just judge people through your own filters while sitting safely on the shore.

Get into the water.

Do business.
Take risks.
Make decisions.
Face the consequences.
And prove yourself.

Because when you are actually in the game, you understand something that spectators often don't.

Money can sometimes be recovered.
But words of blame cannot be recovered.

Before judging someone else's business decision, understand the risk they took.

Better still—

Play the game yourself.

Because cinema is a different game.

Cut to — Big Ideas

Don’t make a small film that looks like a cheap big film.

Make a big idea that can be executed as a small film.

That’s how you make low-budget cinema feel BIG.

And honestly, this is a strong Manutime Movie Mission principle.

The constraint becomes part of the creative strategy—not a weakness.

Cut to —

One location instead of ten.
Five characters instead of fifty.
New talent instead of expensive stars.
A brilliant situation instead of expensive spectacle.
Tension instead of explosions.
Performance instead of production value.

The audience doesn't care how much you spent.

They care whether you made them feel something.

A great story can make one room feel like a universe.

A clever screenplay can turn a ₹2 crore film into a ₹20 crore experience.

And a filmmaker who understands the power of constraints can sometimes do what a huge budget cannot.

Don’t fight the budget.
Design the film around it.

That’s the game.

Big idea.
Small execution.
Smart constraints.
New talent.
Maximum impact.

This is how we see renegade indie cinema at Manutime Movie Mission.

Not as low-budget filmmaking.

As high-impact filmmaking without unnecessary spending.

Cut to — Action!

The Glamour. The Grind. The Dream.

Overnight fame.
Instant money.
Beautiful people.
Excitement.
Dreams.

Film industry!

From the outside, it can look like a dream come true.

And yes, it can give you all of this.

But behind the glamour are years of struggle, rejection, uncertainty, discipline and relentless work.

The dream is beautiful.
The journey is not always easy.

That’s what makes the journey worth it.

Don't Let AI Live Your Life

Jacob Coxon, a former researcher at Anthropic and OpenAI, recently quit the AI industry with a serious warning.

He says AI companies are racing toward self-improving superintelligence while humanity still doesn't know how to reliably control such systems. His message is blunt: don't underestimate the power of this technology.

Whether we agree with all of his predictions or not, one thing deserves our attention:

AI is Becoming Extremely Powerful.

And perhaps the biggest question is not only what AI will become.

It is also what we will become by using it.

AI can save us time.
It can help us brainstorm faster.
It can organize our thoughts.
It can assist us in writing, researching, learning and creating.

Let's use it.

But let's not hand over everything to it.

Don't let AI think every thought for you.
Don't let it write every word for you.
Don't let it make every decision for you.
Don't let it replace your curiosity, imagination, conversations, experiences and real life.

Use AI as an assistant.

Use it for comfort.
Use it for speed.
Use it for time-saving.
Use it for fast brainstorming.

But don't outsource your life to it.

Because the greatest danger may not be that AI becomes too intelligent.

It may be that we stop using our own intelligence.

Use AI.
Don't become empty without it.

Use Your Digits

We live in the digital age.

We swipe with our fingers.
We type with our fingers.
We scroll with our fingers.

But there’s something funny about all this:

Our hands were digital devices long before smartphones were invented.

Your fingers can write.
Draw.
Build.
Cook.
Create.
Touch.
Hold.
Help.

Technology has made our lives easier—but it can also make our hands passive.

So, once in a while, put the phone down.

Use your fingers for something real.

Write something by hand.
Make something.
Plant something.
Play an instrument.
Touch the people you love.

In the digital age, don't forget to use your digits.

Your hands are the original digital devices.

Use them.

Risk Is Life

We spend a lot of our lives trying to avoid risk.

We want certainty.
Security.
A predictable tomorrow.

But life doesn't work that way.

Every meaningful decision carries some risk. Starting again. Loving someone. Leaving something behind. Following a dream. Choosing an unfamiliar path.

Risk is life.

Sometimes we don't choose the risk. Life chooses it for us.

And then we are forced to embrace what we once tried to avoid.

Perhaps that's not always a bad thing.

Because when we stop resisting, something changes.

Fear slowly becomes acceptance.
Acceptance becomes courage.
And sometimes, embracing the unknown leads to something we never expected.

Love.

Maybe that's the strange beauty of life...

What we are forced to embrace
may eventually become
what we learn to love.

NO DEADLINE

There's no deadline
for becoming who you really are.

Be who you are.
Now.

Nothing has to stop you.

Not your films.
Not your filmy commitments.
Not your family.
Not your friends.
Not your goals.
Not your bucket lists.

Those are your external life.
They will keep moving
on their own track.

But your soul
has another track.

Your thoughts.
Your silence.
Your dreams.
Your truth.

They don't need permission
from your calendar.

You don't have to wait
for the right time
to become yourself.

You are you.

Be you.

There is no separate deadline.

Now.

What Are You Addicted To?

Your phone?
Your distractions?
Other people's opinions?

Or your dream?

Be addicted to your passions, not your distractions.

Your attention is your most valuable currency. Whatever gets most of it eventually gets most of your life.

Give it to scrolling, and you'll consume.

Give it to comparison, and you'll doubt.

Give it to your passion, and you'll create.

The difference isn't time.

It's what you choose to obsess over.

Choose your addiction carefully.

Because what you repeatedly give your attention to eventually becomes your life.

Kill Your Limiting Beliefs

Most of the walls in your life aren't real.

They are beliefs.

I can't.
I'm not good enough.
It's too late.
People like me don't do that.
What will they think?

You learned these limits somewhere along the way.

Now it's time to unlearn them.

Stop asking, “What am I capable of?”

Ask, “What if I stopped limiting myself?”

You don't need permission to become who you were meant to be.

Kill the limiting beliefs.
Drop the borrowed identity.

A book is not an object you buy. It is an idea you carry—and an idea can change a life.
