What Happened to Legendary Amazon?

Twenty-five days after placing an order for one book... this is what Amazon has managed to deliver!

In the meantime, there have been three complaints and four different communications. But my book still hasn't arrived. Apparently, even Amazon doesn't know when it will arrive!

Sometimes I wonder if some of the people working at Amazon today have made it their mission to destroy Jeff Bezos's brand name.

Because that's exactly what my latest, absolutely frustrating experience with Amazon feels like.

Here's what happened.

On September 1, I ordered a book from Amazon.in.

The book did not arrive on the date promised in the tracking information. Instead of the book I ordered, I received a 10-page children's picture book called Cinderella.

I complained the same day. I was asked to take a photo of the book I had received by mistake and upload it. I did that.

Then they gave me another delivery date.

I waited.

The book didn't arrive.

Then I saw a notification in the tracking section saying:

“Your book will arrive by September 24.”

I waited until yesterday.

Today is September 25.

So I filed another complaint—this time on X.

Within 10 minutes, Amazon responded with a comment asking me to click a link and provide the details of my complaint.

Seriously?

Didn't I just complain?

This level of irresponsibility and lack of coordination is beginning to feel worse than a government office that doesn't care about its customers.

And here's another frustrating part:

Every time a new customer service representative contacts me on this complaint, I have to explain my entire problem all over again from the beginning!

There seems to be no value for the customer—or for the customer's time.

There seems to be no coordination between departments and customer service.

And apparently, Amazon itself doesn't know when my book will reach me.

And now I get another shameless notification:

“If you want, you can request a refund.”

This is today's Amazon.

One book. Twenty-five days. Three complaints. Four different communications. And still no book.

What happened to the legendary Amazon?

If someone can get this post to Jeff Bezos, I'd appreciate it.

If I can find his email address, I'll send him this post myself.
