When you plan to invest in a business, first understand the nature of the business and its possible risks.
Otherwise, you may have to face the consequences later.
Take the film business, for example...
Even a top-ranked producer like Dil Raju—or anyone with
decades of experience, deep industry knowledge and a strong grip on the
business—can have projects that don't work.
Some films fail.
Some projects get delayed far beyond reasonable timelines.
Some investments don't give the expected returns.
But that doesn't automatically mean the person is
inefficient or doesn't understand the business.
It's business, after all.
Like life, business also comes with risks, uncertainties and
unexpected outcomes.
You can do everything right and still lose money.
You can make a well-calculated decision and still get an
unexpected result.
That's the nature of risk.
Cut to —
Don't just judge people through your own filters while
sitting safely on the shore.
Get into the water.
Do business.
Take risks.
Make decisions.
Face the consequences.
And prove yourself.
Because when you are actually in the game, you understand
something that spectators often don't.
