The Quiet Turning Points

Not every life-changing moment arrives with noise.

Some arrive quietly.

ఇది పక్కా బిజినెస్

సినిమాను ఒక పక్కా బిజినెస్‌గా, ఒక ప్రొఫెషన్‌గా మాత్రమే తీసుకొని, ఆ పరిధిలోనే కొన్ని ప్రాథమిక జాగ్రత్తలు, నియమాలు పాటిస్తే ఎలాంటి నష్టం ఉండదు. ఏ కష్టాలూ రావు. బాగా సంపాదించొచ్చు కూడా.

స్పిరిచువల్‌గా చెప్పాలంటే, ఒక రకమైన 'డిటాచ్‌డ్ అటాచ్‌మెంట్.' 

అయితే ఇది చెప్పినంత సులభం కాదు. అందరివల్ల కూడా కాదు.

ఎందుకంటే క్రియేటివిటీ వేరు, బిజినెస్ వేరు. 

99 శాతం మంది టెంప్ట్ అవుతారు. అక్కడే సమస్య. 

కట్ చేస్తే -

అన్ని బిజినెస్‌లలో లాగే ఫిలిమ్మేకింగ్‌లో కూడా అన్నీ మన కంట్రోల్లో ఉన్నట్టే ఉంటుంది. అంతే. టెంప్ట్ అయిపోతాం. అన్నీ మనకు తెలుసుకదా అనుకుంటాం. మితిమీరిన ఆత్మవిశ్వాసంతో ముందుకు ఉరుకుతాం.  

పడాల్సిన దెబ్బ పడుతుంది.  

ఇది ఒక్క మనీ మ్యాటర్స్ విషయంలోనే కాదు. ఊహించని ఇంకేదో విషయంలో ఏదో అడ్దంకి వస్తుంది. స్టకప్ అయిపోతాం. ఆ పాయింట్ దగ్గర నుంచి మళ్ళీ నార్మల్ ట్రాక్ మీదకి రావడం అంత ఈజీ కాదు.  

అందుకే... అది ప్రొఫెషన్ అయినా, బిజినెస్ అయినా, పర్సనల్ విషయం అయినా సరే... టెంప్ట్ కావద్దు. 

కాని, అవుతాం. 

అదే జీవితం. 

సో... క్రియేటివిటీ వేరు, బిజినెస్ వేరు. 
క్రియేటివ్ బిజినెస్ వేరు. 

ఈ బేసిక్ పాయింట్ రియలైజ్ కావడానికి మాత్రం తాతలు దిగొస్తారు. ఈలోగా జరక్కూడని నష్టం జరిగిపోతుంది.     

అయినా సరే, ఇది పక్కా బిజినెస్ అన్నది ఒకసారి సంపూర్ణంగా రియలైజ్ అవగలిగితే చాలు. ఇంక మిమ్మల్ని ఎవరూ ఆపలేరు.

Cinema Needs Courage

Cinema is, first and foremost, a business.

Entertainment comes next.

Lately, I often hear people saying:
"Cinema is gambling."
"We faced too many problems."
"We lost money."
"The film got delayed."
"Nothing went as planned."

Frankly, such hardships are not unique to cinema.

They are part of every business.

Every entrepreneur faces uncertainty.
Every business owner faces delays, setbacks, wrong decisions, financial pressure, and unexpected challenges.

Cinema is no exception.

In fact, not only independent filmmakers, but even some of the biggest heroes, producers, and directors have experienced delays stretching over years.

Yes, some problems come from a lack of money and resources. But many others come from unexpected turns that nobody can foresee or control. That's the nature of filmmaking—and of life itself.

Today, I read an excellent post by filmmaker Madhura Sreedhar Reddy garu on this very subject.

The message was simple and powerful.

Don't lament the hardships. 
Expect them.

Challenges are part of the journey.

If you enter cinema, enter with courage.
If you choose filmmaking, embrace both the art and the business.

Enjoy the process.
Learn from the setbacks.
Keep moving.

Let's not paint cinema as something negative in the eyes of common people.

Cinema is a beautiful profession.

It demands passion.
It demands patience.
And above all, it demands guts.

క్లాడ్ నాకు నచ్చలేదు...

నాకు క్లాడ్ నచ్చలేదు. అది కోడర్స్‌కి, ఘోస్ట్ రైటర్స్‌కు ఎక్కువగా ఉపయోగపడొచ్చు. 

క్లాడ్ నాకు నచ్చలేదు అనేకంటే, క్లాడ్ నన్ను ఇంప్రెస్ చెయ్యలేకపోయింది అనటం సరైందేమో. 

చాట్ జీపీటీ...
ది బెస్ట్. 

నేను ఫీలైనంతవరకు.

నేను దాన్ని ఉపయోగించుకున్న అనుభవం పరిధి మేరకు.

ఇది నా ఫీలింగ్.

క్లాడ్ అయినా, చాట్ జీపీటీ అయినా, జెమినీ ఏఐ అయినా, ఇంకేదైనా... అవన్నీ మనకు సపోర్టే ఇవ్వగలుగుతాయి. మన టైం చాలా సేవ్ చెయ్యగలుగుతాయి. 

కాని, చివరకు, అంతా రీ-చెక్ చేసుకోవాల్సింది మనమే. మనకు కావల్సిన "హ్యూమన్-టచ్" ఇచ్చుకోవాల్సిందీ మనమే. 

Technology should help us move faster, think better, and live easier. But no advancement is truly progress if it slowly removes the human touch from humanity.

To teach something.

To redirect something inside us.

Not every connection is ordinary.

And maturity begins when we stop fighting reality and start understanding the lesson hidden inside the experience.

The Freedom Money Gives

Let us be honest.

Money matters.

Not because money alone creates happiness — but because lack of money quietly limits freedom, peace, dignity, choices, and even relationships.

Society often measures people through visible success.
How much they earn.

How much they own.

How powerful they appear.

Sometimes even friends, relatives, and social circles unconsciously evaluate people through the lens of financial success.

That is reality.

There is no need to become bitter about it.

And no need to blindly chase validation either.

But one thing is important:

financial freedom.

The kind of money that allows you to:

* think clearly,

* create peacefully,

* say “no” when necessary,

* protect your self-respect,

* and live life on your own terms.

Money should not become your master.

But poverty should not become your prison either.

The real goal is balance:

inner peace with outer stability.

Because true freedom is not only spiritual.

It is also practical.

నిజంగా మార్కెట్లో మనీ లేదా?

నాకు ఊహ తెలిసినప్పటినుంచి "మార్కెట్" గురించి నేను వింటున్న ఒకే ఒక్క స్టేట్మెంట్:

"అస్సల్ మార్కెట్ల పైసల్లేవ్. రొటేషన్ బిల్‌కుల్ లేదు. ఎవ్వని దగ్గర ఒక్క పైసా లేదు. బిజినెస్ ఇంత డల్‌గా ఎప్పుడు లేదు" అని. 

కట్ చేస్తే -

సంవత్సరానికి 200+ సినిమాలు ఎప్పట్లాగే తెలుగులో తయారవుతున్నాయి. 

స్కూళ్ళు, హాస్పిటళ్ళు ఫుల్ బిజీగా ఉన్నాయి. ఒక్కసారి కూడా మూతపడలేదు. 

బిజినెస్‌లన్నీ మామూలుగానే నడుస్తున్నాయి. ల్యాండ్ రిజిస్ట్రేషన్స్ ఆగలేదు. రిజిస్ట్రేషన్ ఆఫీసులు మూతపడ్లేదు.

ఫారిన్ టూర్స్ వెళ్తున్నారు. 
బ్రహ్మాండంగా పెళ్ళిళ్ళు అవుతున్నాయి.

రిసార్ట్స్, హోటల్స్ పిచ్చి బిజీగా ఉంటున్నాయి.

మాల్స్ అన్నీ నిండుగానే ఉంటున్నాయి.

ఊబర్లు, ర్యాపిడోలు అరగంటగ్గాని దొరకట్లేదు.

ఒకవైపు "మార్కెట్" ఇంత బిజీగా ఉంటే, మరెందుకిలా చాలామంది "మార్కెట్ల మనీ లేదు" అంటారు?  

అలా అనేవాళ్ళలో కొందరు తప్పించుకోడానికి అంటారు. 

ఇంకొందరికి పని చేతకాక అంటారు. 

సో, మన పని కోసం మనం ఎన్నుకోవాల్సింది అల్లాటప్పా మైండ్‌సెట్ ఉన్న కోతలరాయుళ్ళని కాదు. పాథలాజికల్ లయ్యర్స్‌ని కాదు. 

గట్స్ ఉన్న సమర్థుల్ని.  

There may be fluctuations in the market.

But that never means you stop creating.

With the right mindset, courage, and clarity, you can build something meaningful in any situation.

That’s guts.

సినిమా ఎక్కడికీ పోదు!

ఎప్పుడో ఒకసారి ఒక పెద్ద సినిమా, ఒక చిన్న సినిమా. అంతే. అది కూడా మ్యాజిక్. మిరాకిల్. 

ఎంత బడ్జెట్? 

ప్యానిండియానా, జస్ట్ తెలుగేనా? 

పెద్ద బ్యానరా, ఇండిపెండెంట్ సినిమానా? 

ప్యానిండియా డైరెక్టరా, కొత్త డైరెక్టరా?

హీరో ఎవరు, హీరోయిన్ ఎవరు?

... ఇవ్వన్నీ ఇప్పుడెవ్వరూ పట్టించుకోవడం లేదు. 

థియేటర్‌కు వెళ్ళి సినిమాలు చూసే అలవాటు క్రమంగా తగ్గిపోతోంది. 

అంత టైం లేదు ఎవ్వరికీ. 

ఈ మార్పు ఒక్క తెలుగులోనే కాదు, 

ప్రపంచం అంతటా ఇంతే. 

హాలీవుడ్‌లో కూడా. 

కట్ చేస్తే -

సినిమా ఎక్కడికీ పోదు. 

జస్ట్ ఇదొక సంధి కాలం. 

ఓటీటీల్లో సుకూన్‌గా సినిమా చూసే అలవాటు కూడా ఎంతోకాలం ఉండకపోవచ్చు. మనిషి జీవనశైలిని పూర్తిగా మార్చేసిన సోషల్ మీడియా అంటే మొహం మొత్తే రోజు కూడా త్వరలోనే రావచ్చు. 

ఏఐతో సినిమాకు ఎలాంటి ప్రమాదం లేదు. టెక్నికల్‌గా ఏఐని మించిన ఇంకేదో ఒక కుదుపు తప్పక వస్తుంది. అప్పటిదాకా బహుశా ఇంతే. 

సినిమా బిజినెస్ మాత్రం ఉంటుంది. 

బయటికి చెప్పే లెక్కలు నిజమా అబద్ధమా అన్నది ఆ లెక్కలు చెప్పేవాళ్ళ సొంత విషయం.

The Inner Conversation

Most people spend their entire lives thinking about the world… but very few pause to think about their own thinking.

ఇంకొన్ని డిగ్రీలు పెరిగితే చావే!

ఇవ్వాళ 25 మే నుంచి 2 జూన్ వరకు, మన దేశంలో ఎండలు 55 డిగ్రీలను తాకనున్నాయని ప్రపంచం అంతా ఇమేజెస్, గ్రాఫ్‌లతో మొత్తుకుంటోంది. సోషల్ మీడియా అంతా కూడా ఇవే పోస్టులు. 

55 డిగ్రీలు అంటే మామూలు విషయం కాదు. చిన్నపిల్లలు, వృద్ధులు, అనారోగ్యంతో ఉన్నవారికి చాలా ప్రమాదకరం. నేరుగా ఇంత వేడికి ఎక్స్‌పోజ్ అయ్యేవారు ఆరోగ్యవంతులైనా సరే, కొందరు రెండే రెండు గంటల్లో చనిపోతారట. 

వచ్చే కొన్నేళ్ళలో ఇది ఇంకో 3 డిగ్రీలకు పెరుగుతుందని చదివాను. 

అది డైరెక్ట్ చావే. 

ఈ ఒక్క కారణంగా, భవిష్యత్తులో మిలియన్లలో భారతీయులు వేరే దేశాలకు వలసపోతారని ఒక అంచనా. 

కట్ చేస్తే -

అసలు దీని గురించి ప్రభుత్వాలూ, మంత్రిత్వశాఖలు... పి యమ్‌లు, సీయమ్‌లు... ఎవరైనా పట్టించుకుంటున్నారా? ఏవైనా చర్యలు చేపడుతున్నారా?

అసలు ఎవరికైనా ఏ కొంచెమైనా అవగాహన ఉందా? ప్రజలకు చెప్తున్నారా?

పనికిరాని నానా చెత్త ప్రసారం చేసే టీవీ చానెల్స్, యూట్యూబులు దీని గురించి బ్రేకింగ్ న్యూస్‌లు ఎందుకివ్వరు?

ఎంతసేపూ రాజకీయాలు, కుర్చీలు, అధికారం, అవినీతి కోసం కొట్లాటలేనా?  

నిజంగా ఇది కరోనా కంటే ప్రమాదకరం కాదా? 

అసలెవ్వరూ ఎందుకని పట్టించుకోవడం లేదు?

My World

Not everyone will understand my world.
And honestly, they don’t have to.

My world is built with silence, thoughts, sea waves, unfinished scripts, midnight writing, cinema memories, old songs, deep conversations, spiritual questions, and the constant desire to reinvent myself.

Some days, it is loud with ambition.
Some days, it is quiet like meditation.

I enjoy meaningful people, creative energy, emotional honesty, and peaceful solitude more than unnecessary noise.

The older I grow, the smaller and more meaningful my world becomes.

And perhaps that itself is growth.

Beyond Reasons

Why does a certain voice calm us?

Why does love sometimes arrive without permission, logic, or timing?

The modern world searches for reasons for everything.

Beauty. Status. Success. Convenience. Compatibility.

But real affection often moves beyond calculation.

The purest love is not a transaction.

It is recognition.

A silent connection between two souls that simply says:

“I see you.”

No conditions.

No negotiations.

No explanations.

Perhaps that is why true love feels both mysterious and spiritual at the same time.

It does not always make sense to the mind.

But the heart understands it immediately.

And maybe that is enough.

కొటేషన్స్ వేరు, జీవితం వేరు!

లాక్‌డౌన్‌ను మించిన బోధివృక్షం లేదు అనుకున్నాను. 

కాని అది నిజం కాదు. 

వాట్సాప్‌ను మించిన బోధివృక్షం లేదు. 

ఇక ఉండదు. 

కనీసం, నా విషయంలో. 

కట్ చేస్తే - 

తెల్లారి లేస్తే, మా స్నేహితుల వాట్సాప్ గ్రూపులో "స్నేహం" మీద డజన్ల కొద్ది మెసేజెస్ పెట్టే నా అత్యంత దగ్గరి మిత్రుడొకరు, ఒక 20 రోజులైనా నా వాట్సాప్ మెసేజ్ చూసుకోలేదు. రిప్లై ఇవ్వలేదు.

అదేం భయపడాల్సిన మెసేజ్ కూడా కాదు. 

ఇందుకు నేను వాడ్ని తప్పు పట్టను. 

ఎవరి ప్రయారిటీలు వారికుంటాయి. 

ఎవరి హిపోక్రసీలు వారివి. 

ఎవరి భయాలు వారివి. 

మనవాళ్ళు, మన గురించి మొత్తం అర్థం చేసుకున్నవాళ్ళు, అసలు మనం ఏంటో దాపరికం లేకుండా తెలిసినవాళ్ళనుంచే ఇలాంటి మర్యాద కూడా ఒకటి సాధ్యం అన్నది మనం అనుభవించినప్పుడే తెలుస్తుంది.    

అయితే, ఇలాంటివన్నీ పట్టించుకుని పెయిన్ ఫీలవ్వటం అంటే, మనం ఇంకా బచ్చాగాళ్లమని అర్థం. 

ఎక్కడ ఎవరితో ఎంతవరకు అన్నది తెలుసుకోవాలి.

మన పనిలో మనం ముందుకు వెళ్తూనేవుండాలి.

జీవితం చాలా చిన్నది.

వృధా చేసుకునేంత సమయం లేదు.    

ఈసారి మాత్రం ఏదో బూడిదలోంచి లేచి దులుపుకొన్నట్టు కాకుండా... నా మనసు నిజంగానే ఒక చిన్న కుదుపుకు లోనయింది. 

ఇది నాలో ఒక పెద్ద మార్పుకు దారితీయొచ్చు. 

ఒక మహాజ్ఞానోదయమే కావొచ్చు.

The Freedom of Writing

Filmmaking is beautiful.

But filmmaking is also chaos.

It takes enormous time, endless coordination, financial pressure, approvals, negotiations, and the emotional energy of many people moving together toward one vision.

Cinema is never completely yours.

It belongs to producers, actors, technicians, distributors, markets, timing, and sometimes even luck.

Writing is different.

Writing is one human being sitting alone with thoughts, silence, and truth.

No permissions.

No production delays.

No market meetings.

No noise.

Just the writer and the page.

A solo game. 

A one man's world.

That is the hidden power of writing:

control and freedom.

A single idea born at midnight can become a poem, a story, a novel, or a philosophy before sunrise.

Perhaps that is why many creative people eventually return to writing.

Not because they hate the world — but because they miss themselves.

And sometimes, peace itself becomes creativity.

దీని కోసం అన్నీ వొదులుకోవాల్సిన పనిలేదు

ప్రేమలో కాని, స్నేహంలో కాని, ప్రొఫెషన్‌లో కాని... మన వెంటపడుతున్న వ్యక్తులను, అవకాశాలను వద్దనుకుంటాం. మనల్ని వద్దనుకున్న వ్యక్తుల కోసం, మనకు రాని అవకాశాల కోసం, ఇంకేదో మనకే స్పష్టత లేనివాటికోసం అదేపనిగా ప్రయత్నిస్తుంటాం.  

మనిషి జీవితంలో ఇది అతి పెద్ద గ్యాంబ్లింగ్.

మనిషి అంతరంగాన్ని కలగాపులగం చేసే ఇలాంటి ఆలోచనల నుంచి, ఇలాంటి ఒక ఖచ్చితమైన గమ్యం లేని జీవనశైలి నుంచి దూరంగా వెళ్ళటం కోసమే... స్పిరిచువాలిటీ.

స్పిరిచువాలిటీ కోసం అన్నీ వొదులుకోవాల్సిన పనిలేదు. అలా వొదులుకోవాలన్న నియమం కూడా ఏం లేదు. 

మనకోసం మనం.

మన లోపల మనం. 

మనం మనంగా మనం.

జీవితాన్ని జీవించటం.

జీవితానికి గౌరవమివ్వటం.

చాలా అవసరం. 

తప్పనిసరి కూడా. 

ఎందుకంటే - 

జీవితం ఒక్కటే.

సమయం కూడా చాలా తక్కువ.

ఎమ్మే తర్వాత, అప్పుడు నేను ఓయూ ఆర్ట్స్ కాలేజీలోనే ఎమ్మెల్ఐయస్సీ చదువుతున్నాను. ఓయూలోనే మూడేళ్ళ పార్ట్-టైమ్ రష్యన్ డిప్లొమా కూడా చేస్తుండేవాణ్ణి. విద్యార్థిగా ఉన్నప్పుడే నేను నేరుగా రష్యన్ భాషలోంచి తెలుగులోకి అనువదించిన కథలు అప్పట్లో విపుల, ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి వీక్లీ వంటి పత్రికల్లో అచ్చయ్యాయి.  

గుడిపాటి "ఉజ్వల" కోసం కూడా అప్పుడు నేనొక రష్యన్ కథ అనువదించి ఇచ్చాను. 

అదే "మంచు".

రచయిత కాన్‌స్టంటీన్ పవుస్తోవ్‌స్కీ. చాలా మంచి కథ. 

కథా సంకలనాలు వెయ్యాలని మొట్టమొదటిసారిగా మొన్నొకసారి అనిపించింది. గుడిపాటితో చర్చించాను. ఒకేసారి రెండు సంకలనాలు వెయ్యాలని ప్లాన్ చేశాం. 

నిజానికి ఈ అలోచన నాలో రావటానికి ఒక కారణం మా ప్రదీప్. ఆ మధ్య నేను రాసిన ఒక కథ చదివి, "ఇదే పేరుతో మీరు ఒక కథా సంకలనం వేస్తారని నాకు ఎందుకో అనిపిస్తోంది సర్" అన్నాడు.

నా మనసులో నేనూ అదే అనుకుంటున్నాను. ప్రదీప్ నోట్లోంచి వచ్చింది.

ప్రదీప్ చదివిన ఆ కథ పేరు: "సముద్రం నాకిష్టం."

గతంలో అచ్చయిన నా కథలను వెతుకుతోంటే గుడిపాటి "ఉజ్వల" కనిపించింది. అప్పటి మా జ్ఞాపకాలేన్నో గుర్తుకొచ్చాయి.  

నిజం చెప్తున్నాను... రాయడంలో ఉన్న ఆనందం నేను ఇంక దేనిలోనూ ఫీలవ్వలేకపోయాను. సినిమాలు కూడా నాకంత ఆనందాన్ని ఇవ్వలేదు అంటే అతిశయోక్తి కాదు. 

దురదృష్టవశాత్తూ, నాకెంతో ఇష్టమైన రైటింగ్‌నే నేను చాలా అశ్రద్ధ చేశాను. విస్మరించాను.    

నిజానికి రాయాలనుకుంటే ఎన్ని పనులున్నా, ఎంత బిజీగా ఉన్నా రాయగలం. ఏదీ అడ్డం కాదు. అందుకే ఇప్పుడు ఎక్కువగా రాస్తున్నాను. 

రైటింగ్‌ను విస్మరించిన విషయంలో నన్ను చెడామడా వాయించేసిన ఇంకో ఆత్మీయ మిత్రురాలిని కూడా నేను రోజూ తల్చుకుంటుంటాను.  

కుటుంబ బాధ్యతల నుంచి కొంచెం ఫ్రీ అయ్యానిప్పుడు. కొత్తగా మళ్ళీ సినిమాలు చెయ్యాలనుకొంటున్నాను. ఆ ప్రి-ప్రొడక్షన్ పనులు ఒకవైపు జరుగుతున్నాయి. 

అయినా సరే, రచనే నా తొలిప్రేమ. 

Somewhere along the journey, I lost touch with my first love — writing. 

Now I am back.
And suddenly, my heart, my silence, my soul… everything within me has started dancing again.

A Beautiful Antique Blessing from Our Russian Professor

1961 లో మా రష్యన్ ప్రొఫెసర్ మురుంకర్ సార్‌కు, మాస్కోలో వాళ్ళ ప్రొఫెసర్ గిఫ్ట్ ఇచ్చారట ఈ ప్రొజెక్టర్. 

 

రష్యన్ మేడ్. 

ఇదే ప్రొజెక్టర్‌తో మా మురుంకర్ సార్ 1987-89 వరకు ఉస్మానియా యూనివర్సిటీ రష్యన్ డిపార్ట్‌మెంట్‌లో మాకు రష్యన్ బోధించారు.  

కట్ టూ 2026 - 

ఇవ్వాళ ఉదయం, నన్ను పిలిచి ఈ ప్రొజెక్టర్‌ను నాకు గిఫ్ట్ ఇచ్చారు మా సార్. 

"నువ్వే రైట్ పర్సన్, మనోహర్. దీన్ని నువ్వు మీ ఆఫీసులో ఒక డెకరేటివ్ పీస్‌గా పెట్టుకో" అన్నారు. 

మేడమ్‌తో కలిసి ఎల్లుండి అమెరికా వెళ్తున్న మా సార్‌కు పాదాభివందనం చేసి వచ్చాను. 

Love you, sir.

The Unwritten Rooms Inside Us

Some memories never become stories.

They remain quietly hidden somewhere deep within people — unwritten, unnamed, untouched.

Not because they are meaningless.

But because they are too personal for language.

Certain experiences change us silently.

A conversation.

A betrayal.

A night of loneliness.

A love that disappeared without closure.

A dream that never happened.

Life moves on.

People smile again.

Work continues.

New chapters begin.

Yet somewhere inside, those invisible memories remain preserved like old letters no one opens anymore.

Perhaps every human being carries a private museum within themselves.

And maybe maturity is learning that not everything needs explanation, exposure, or expression.

సాంకేతికంగా ఆక్సిజన్ నన్ను బ్రతికిస్తోందికావచ్చు. కాని, మానసికంగా నన్ను నిజంగా బ్రతికిస్తున్నది మాత్రం వేరే.

తెలుగు ఎలా టైప్ చెయ్యాలా అని వెతుకుతుంటే లేఖిని కనిపించింది. 

అంతే. 

తెలుగు టైప్ చేస్తోంటే ఎంత ఆనందమేసిందో ఆరోజు.
వెంటనే ఈ బ్లాగ్ క్రియేట్ చేశాను. 

నగ్నచిత్రం. 

థాంక్స్ టూ బ్లాగర్ ప్లాట్‌ఫామ్... ఈ బ్లాగింగ్ నాకు చాలా ఇచ్చింది. 

ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా ఎందరితోనో పరిచయాలు కల్పించింది. ఎన్నో కథలు, కవితలు, ఆర్టికిల్స్, పుస్తకాలు, స్క్రిప్టులు, సినిమా ప్రాజెక్ట్ ప్రపోజల్స్ పుట్టుకకు స్పూర్తినిచ్చింది. అన్నిటినీ మించి, ఎన్నో క్లిష్ట పరిస్థితుల్లో నాకు ఓదార్పునిచ్చింది. 

వీటిలో ఏ ఒక్కటీ ప్లాన్ చేసింది కాదు. 

ఇవన్నీ నా బ్లాగులో ఏదో ఒకటి నేను రాస్తున్నప్పుడే నా మనసులో మెరిశాయి. 

బ్లాగ్ నాకు చాలా ఇచ్చింది.

నా ఇంగ్లిష్ రైటింగ్‌ను రిఫ్రెష్ చేసుకొనే పనిలో భాగంగా, ఇప్పుడు ఇదే బ్లాగ్‌లో ఇంగ్లిష్ పోస్టులు కూడా రాస్తున్నాను. ఎప్పుడో మర్చిపోయిన అలవాటుని ఇప్పుడు యాక్టివ్ చేసుకొంటున్నాను. 

కథలూ, ఫిక్షన్ ఇంగ్లిష్‌లో రాస్తున్నాను. ఇంకొన్ని నాన్-సినిమా పనులకు సంబంధించిన ఆలోచనలు కూడా ఉన్నాయి.

అందుకే బ్లాగ్‌లో ఇప్పుడు కొత్తగా ఇంగ్లిష్‌లో రాయడం.

Be Water. Move Forward.

One of the biggest reasons people suffer is this:

They become trapped inside fixed identities.

“I am this kind of person.”

“My life should go only this way.”

“My success must look exactly like this.”

And slowly, rigidity becomes pain.

Life keeps changing.

The world keeps moving.

But the mind resists.

True strength is not rigidity.

It is flexibility.

That is why Bruce Lee famously said:

“Be water, my friend.”

Water adapts.

Water flows.

Water survives.

The same applies to life, creativity, relationships, business, and personal transformation.

And one more thing:

Stop overthinking every step.

Perfect moments rarely exist.

Clarity often comes after movement — not before it.

Action creates opportunity.

Motion creates momentum.

Sometimes, the best thing you can do for your future is simply begin.

More focus.

Perhaps maturity is not about adding more things into life.

Perhaps it is about removing what quietly drains us.

Winning Is a Habit. Unfortunately, So Is Losing.

Life quietly repeats whatever we repeatedly practice.

Not once.

Not occasionally.

But daily.

Winning is rarely a sudden event.

And losing works the same way.

Negative thinking becomes a habit.

Excuses become a habit.

Delay becomes a habit.

Self-doubt becomes a habit.

Over time, people unknowingly train themselves for defeat.

That is the real danger.

పాజిటివ్ పాలిటిక్స్‌కు పాలిటిక్స్‌లో స్థానం లేదు!

ఈమధ్య ఈ సబ్జెక్ట్ టచ్ చెయ్యలేదు నేను. కాని, ఎందుకో రాయాలనిపించింది. మిత్రులు కొందరికి కోపం రావచ్చు.

ఇవ్వాళ ఫేస్‌బుక్‌లో ఒక పోస్టు చూశాను. 

అది వందశాతం కరెక్టు. 

"ఇప్పటి ముఖ్యమంత్రి మీద వ్యతిరేకతతో, వచ్చే ఎలక్షన్లల్లో మేం ఎలాగైనా గెలుస్తాం" అనుకోవడం నిజంగా ఆత్మహత్యాసదృశం. 

రాజకీయాల్లో అఫెన్సివ్ స్ట్రాటెజీ & రాక్ సాలిడ్ కాన్‌ఫిడెన్స్ ముఖ్యం. 

ఈ రెండూ లోపించాయి ఇవతలివైపు. 

అందుకే అతను "మళ్ళీ నేనే ముఖ్యమంత్రిని" అని పదే పదే చెప్తున్నాడు. 

ఇక్కడి వీక్‌నెస్‌లను అతను స్టడీచేసినంతగా ఎవ్వరూ చెయ్యలేదు.      

చదువుకి, సక్సెస్‌కు అసలు సంబంధం లేదు అన్నది ఎందరో ఆల్రెడీ ప్రూవ్ చేశారు. ఇప్పటి ప్రధానమంత్రి, ముఖ్యమంత్రి కూడా. 

ఆయనకో పక్కా స్ట్రాటెజీ & స్టయిల్ ఉంది. 

ఇక్కడ అది లోపించింది. 
అది కూడా రాష్ట్రంలో ఎన్నెన్నో సాధించి...

The Butterfly Effect Inside

Sometimes, life does not change through big events.

It changes through one silent thought at midnight.

A small spark.

A sudden realization.

A quiet inner shift nobody else can see.

And slowly, everything begins to move in another direction.

My plans were different once.

My priorities were different.

Even my idea of success was different.

But life has its own mysterious intelligence.

Somewhere along the journey, something changed within me. Not dramatically. Not overnight. Quietly.

Now I find myself evolving toward a different space — slower, calmer, more aware.

Into what I call “monk mode.”

Not the kind that leaves the world behind.

But the kind that learns to move through the world with more clarity and less noise.

I still love creativity.

Cinema. Writing. Art. Music. Ambition.

But now, I want all of it to move toward a more peaceful and meaningful inner destination.

Perhaps that is the real butterfly effect in life:

కోఠి ఉమెన్స్ కాలేజీలోని ఈ దర్బార్ హాల్ ఇంకా ఉందా?

1988లో ఇండియాలో సంవత్సరం పాటు సోవియట్ ఫెస్టివల్ జరిగింది. అప్పటి సోవియట్ యూనియన్ నుంచి వందలాది మంది డెలిగేట్స్ ఇండియా వచ్చారు.

అందులో సోవియట్ రచయితలు, కవులు, బాలే నృత్య కళాకారులు, చిత్రకారులు, ఫిలిమ్మేకర్స్, నటీనటులు... ఇలా ఎందరో ఉన్నారు. 

అప్పటి రష్యన్ పాప్ ఆర్టిస్ట్ అల్లా పుగచేవా కూడా వచ్చింది. మన లలితకళాతోరణంలో ప్రదర్శన కూడా ఇచ్చింది. నేనామెతో మాట్లాడాను. కొన్ని గంటలపాటు ఆమెకు ఇంటర్‌ప్రీటర్‌గా పనిచేశాను. ఆమె నాకు ఆటోగ్రాఫ్‌తో పాటు, తన పాప్ సాంగ్స్ క్యాసెట్, గ్రాంఫోన్ రికార్డ్స్ ఇచ్చింది. అవి ఇంకా నాదగ్గర ఉన్నాయి. 

సుమారు 37 ఏళ్ల క్రితం, అల్లా పుగచేవా నాకిచ్చిన ఆ క్యాసెట్లోని రష్యన్ పాట "మిలియోన్ మిలియోన్ ఆలిహ్ రోజ్" నాకింకా గుర్తుంది.

ఈ సోవియట్ డెలిగేట్స్ అంతా, అప్పుడు మన దేశంలోని సుమారు 162 పట్టణాలు, నగరాల్ని సందర్శించారు. ఎన్నో సమావేశాలు, ప్రదర్శనలు జరిగాయి.

అప్పుడు అదొక పెద్ద పండుగ.   

అప్పుడే, సోవియట్ ఫెస్టివల్లో భాగంగా, ఉస్మానియా యూనివర్సిటీ రష్యన్ డిపార్ట్‌మెంట్ నుంచి డిప్లొమా విద్యార్థులం మేమొక రష్యన్ నాటికను, రష్యన్ భాషలోనే ప్రదర్శించాము. 

నేటివ్ రష్యన్ డిలిగేట్స్ ముందు మేము ప్రదర్శించి, మెప్పించిన ఆ రష్యన్ నాటికలో నేనూ ఉన్నాను. 

ఆ నాటికను ఆరోజు మేం ప్రదర్శించింది, ఈ కోఠి వుమెన్స్ కాలేజీలోని దర్బార్ హాల్లో. 

కోఠి ఉమెన్స్ కాలేజీ క్యాంపస్‌లోని ఈ దర్బార్ హాల్ ఇంకా అలాగే ఉందా?

ఉంటే, సందర్శించే అవకాశం ఉంటుందా?

ఏది ఎప్పటివరకు అనేది నిర్ణయించేది కాలం

మన ఆలోచన కావచ్చు.

మన నిర్ణయం కావచ్చు.

మన చేస్తున్న పని కావచ్చు.

మన సాంఘిక స్పృహ కావచ్చు.

ఈ ఒక్కటే అని గిరి గీసుకొని కూర్చోలేం. 
ఇది వద్దు అని కూడా ఖచ్చితంగా అనుకోలేం. 

సినిమాలా ఇంకొకటా అన్నది అసలు ప్రశ్నే కాదు. 

పని చేసుకుంటూ ఉండటం ముఖ్యం. 

ఏది ఎప్పటివరకు అనేది నిర్ణయించేది కాలం. 

దాని గురించి నీ నిరంతర ఆలోచన, సంఘర్షణ అనవసరం. వ్యర్థం.

వాతావరణంలా మనసు మారుతుంటుంది. 

మన ఆలోచనలు, నిర్ణయాలు మారిపోతుంటాయి. 

మనం మనుషులం. 

ఇది సహజం. 

కట్ చేస్తే -

ఒక మనిషి మీదనో, ఒక పరిస్థితి మీదనో, మనకు లేని ఒక అంశం మీదనో నిందవేస్తూ, బ్లేమ్ గేమ్ ఆడటం మన సమస్యల్ని తీర్చదు. 

అది ఉంటే ఇది చేసేవాణ్ణి అనుకోవడమంత మూర్ఖత్వం లేదు.  

అన్నిటికీ "నేనే కారణం" అన్న బాధ్యత స్వీకరించగలిగినప్పుడు క్రమంగా అంతా బాగుంటుంది. కాని, ఇందుకు మన ఈగో ఒప్పుకోదు. 

అయినా సరే, మనకున్న సమయం తక్కువ. 

ఈ నిజం ముందు ఏ ఈగోలకూ విలువ లేదు.

Feel Better in One Minute

Life does not always have to defeat your mood.

Sometimes, peace is much closer than we think.

Sometimes, all it takes is one conscious minute.

Pause.

Take a deep breath.

Feel your lungs expand with life.

Hold it gently for a few seconds.

Then slowly release it —

like letting go of invisible weight.

Again.

One more time.

Notice the shift.

The body remembers peace before the mind does.

Breathing deeply releases more than air.

It releases tension, heaviness, anxiety, emotional noise — the moods silently stuck inside us.

That is the secret.

Not every problem disappears in one minute.

But your energy can change in one minute.

And sometimes, that is enough to begin again.

Think Beyond Borders

Most people dream locally and then wonder why their growth remains limited.

The world has changed.

Today, a writer in Hyderabad can reach a reader in New York.

An artist in India can sell to a collector in Europe.

A filmmaker can emotionally connect with someone sitting alone in Tokyo or California.

Technology has quietly removed geography from creativity.

Yet many creative people still think only within local circles, local validation, and local markets.

That mindset itself becomes the limitation.

If you truly want larger success — financially and creatively — begin thinking globally.

Not by losing your roots.

But by expanding your perspective.

Human emotions are universal:

love, loneliness, ambition, heartbreak, spirituality, longing, transformation.

Speak honestly about those things, and the world may listen.

Global thinking is not about becoming westernized.

It is about becoming universally relatable.

Create with depth.

Communicate with clarity.

Think beyond borders.

Sometimes, the biggest shift in life begins with one question:

“What if my audience is much larger than I imagined?”

Live Life to the Fullest

Whatever I am today, much of it has been shaped by cinema.

Cinema gave me experiences, lessons, relationships, challenges, victories, failures, and a deeper understanding of creativity itself. It shaped my journey in ways I will always respect.

And yet, I must honestly admit something:

I was never fully consumed by cinema.

Some part of me always remained elsewhere — quietly waiting.

That part was writing.

Writing was my first love. My first inner calling. But somewhere along the way, cinema demanded its own time, energy, noise, and movement. And in serving that world, my deeper relationship with writing often had to wait.

That is the irony of life.

Sometimes, what gives us identity also delays our true return to ourselves.

But every life reaches a moment of clarity.

And I feel that moment now.

I want to spend more time with what calls me inward — writing, art, music, and spirituality.

This is not an escape from cinema.

It is a slow and conscious transformation.

Cinema will remain part of my journey — as livelihood, as movement, as creative commerce, and as a space for larger dreams.

But beyond that, I now seek quieter forms of creation.

The kind that demand silence instead of noise.

Depth instead of speed.

Presence instead of performance.

To be spiritual does not mean leaving everything behind.

It means bringing awareness into everything we do.

Create deeply.

Live consciously.

Remain true to yourself.

Be creative.

Be spiritual.

Be you.

And above all —

live life to the fullest.

Returning to the Page

Cinema and writing — both are acts of creativity.

Both demand imagination, emotion, discipline, and the courage to begin with nothing.

But they are also very different worlds.

Cinema is collective energy.

It moves through producers, actors, technicians, markets, budgets, schedules, approvals, expectations, and countless creative negotiations. Every frame is a collaboration. Every decision passes through many hands.

That is the beauty of cinema.

And also its chaos.

Writing, on the other hand, is intimate freedom.

Just one person.

One mind.

One silence.

One page.

No permissions.

No waiting.

No noise around the core emotion.

Both cinema and writing carry risk. Success is uncertain in both. But writing has one rare advantage: inner control. The freedom to move at the speed of thought and soul.

Perhaps that is why I now feel slowly drawn back toward writing again.

Not as an escape from cinema.

But as a return to something quieter, deeper, and more personal.

Maybe this next phase of my life is not about creating bigger noise…

but about creating deeper resonance.

And for me, that journey begins with words.

This Profile Is Private

Some people leave.

But they never really leave.

We were once impossibly close.

Reconnecting with the Soul

There comes a stage in life when creativity stops being ambition and starts becoming meditation.

Writing.

Art.

Cinema.

For years, they were my tools of expression. Now, they are slowly becoming my path inward.

Every meaningful creative act reconnects us with something deeper within ourselves — silence, awareness, presence… soul.

And perhaps that is why many creative people eventually move toward spirituality. Not because they are escaping life, but because they are trying to understand it more honestly.

My focus too is gradually shifting toward spirituality. But spirituality, to me, does not mean abandoning the world, wearing a robe, or walking away from creativity.

There is no rule that we must leave everything behind to become spiritual.

We can write spiritually.

Create spiritually.

Live spiritually.

A book can be spiritual.

A conversation can be spiritual.

Even silence can be spiritual.

The Little Mentor

There comes a point in life when age stops deciding who teaches whom.

Sometimes wisdom comes from experience.

Sometimes it comes from clarity.

I had a long call with my younger son today—my little mentor. And somewhere between conversations about life, work, time, and technology, one truth became clearer:

We all have too much to do and too little time to do it.

Previous generations accepted this imbalance as normal.

This generation is trying to redesign it.

That’s where AI becomes interesting.

Not as a replacement for human intelligence, but as a support system for human life. A tool that can reduce noise, save time, organize chaos, and perhaps give us back what we are slowly losing: mental space.

But only if used wisely.

Technology alone never changes life.

Awareness does.

And sometimes, that awareness arrives through a conversation with someone younger than you.

సినిమాను థియేటర్లో చూడ్డం అనేది ఇప్పుడు...

సినిమాల్లో పనిచేస్తూ, సినిమాల్లో కోట్లు ఖర్చుపెట్టేవాళ్ళకు, కోట్లు పోగొట్టుకొని రోడ్డునపడేవాళ్ళకు తెలుస్తాయి నిజానిజాలు. నాలుగు గోడల మధ్య కూర్చుని, ఇలా చెయ్యాలి అలా చెయ్యాలి అని జడ్‌మెంట్లు ఇచ్చేవాళ్లకు ఏం తెలుస్తుంది? 

ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా వస్తున్న ఎన్నెన్నో మార్పులను అధ్యయనం చెయ్యాలి. అప్‌డేట్ అవ్వాలి.

సినిమా ప్రమోషన్ గురించి నిన్న నేను రాసిన ఒక పోస్టుకు ఇండస్ట్రీ మిత్రుల నుంచి కూడా మంచి స్పందన వచ్చింది. ఎవరో ఒకరిద్దరు సినిమా బిజినెస్‌తో సంబంధం లేని మిత్రులకు మాత్రం నా పోస్ట్ చాలా కష్టం కలిగించినట్టుంది.  

అటూఇటూ తిప్పి ఏదేదో రాసి ఆనందపడుతూ, చివరికి నేను చెప్పిన పాయింట్సే వాళ్ళూ చెప్పారన్నది గమనించి నవ్వుకోవడం తప్ప ఏం చేయగలం? 

ఈ అనవసరమైన ఖర్చంతా కూడా చివరికి ప్రేక్షకుని మీదనే మీదనే పడుతుందన్నది కామన్ సెన్స్. 

కట్ చేస్తే -

సినిమా ప్రమోషన్ అంటూ రకరకాల ఇంటర్వ్యూలు, చాట్స్, ప్రొగ్రాములు చేస్తూ ప్రేక్షకులకు ఇస్తున్న ఎంటర్‌టైన్మెంటుని వాళ్ళు నిజంగా బాగా ఎంజాయ్ చేస్తున్నారు. 

కాని, ప్రమాదం అక్కడే ఉంది. 

ఇదంతా సినిమా మీద ఆసక్తిని డైల్యూట్ చేస్తుంది.
టీజర్, ట్రయలర్లు ఇచ్చిన ఎఫెక్టు ఏ మూలకో పోతోంది. 

ప్రొడ్యూసర్లు, డైరెక్టర్స్, హీరోహీరోయిన్స్... వీళ్లందరి వ్యక్తిగత విషయాలు, ఆసక్తులు, వాళ్ళ డ్రెస్సులు, వాళ్ళ మధ్య సంబంధాలు... ఇలా ఏవేవో ఆసక్తికరంగా మారుతున్నాయి. ఈ షిఫ్ట్‌లో అసలు 'సినిమా మీద ఆసక్తి' అనేది ప్రయారిటీలో ఎక్కడో అడుక్కుపోతోంది.  

  

నిజంగా ఇలాంటి ప్రమోషన్‌ను ఎంజాయ్ చేస్తున్నవారందరిలో కనీసం 5% మంది అయినా సినిమాకు వెళ్తున్నారా అన్నది బిగ్ కొశ్చన్. 

నిజంగా అలా వెళ్తే గనుక, ప్రతి సినిమా హిట్టే. 

కాని అలా జరగదు.

ఎందుకంటే, "మనిషి జీవనశైలే మారిపోయింది. థియేటర్‌కు వెళ్ళి సినిమా చూడటం అనేది ఇప్పుడు ఒక అవుట్‌డేటెడ్ కాన్సెప్ట్ అన్న నిజాన్ని హాలీవుడ్ తెలుసుకోవాలి" అని నెట్‌ఫ్లిక్స్ సీఈవో Ted Sarandos ఈమధ్యనే అన్న విషయం చాలామందికి తెలియకపోవచ్చు.

The First Home We Ever Had

Before the world knew our name, she did.

Before we learned confidence, she gave us comfort.

Before we learned language, we learned love—from her.

Mothers rarely ask for attention.

They simply keep giving.

Time.

Patience.

Sleep.

Dreams.

Quietly.

We grow up thinking strength is loud.

Then one day, we realize the strongest people are often the gentlest ones.

A mother’s love is not performance.

It’s presence.

And perhaps the saddest thing is this:

we keep waiting for the “right moment” to express our love. We postpone the call, the hug, the conversation… and time quietly moves on.

One day, when the heart finally realizes how deeply it loves her, she may no longer be there to hear it.

So do it now.

Sit with her.

Call her.

Hold her hand a little longer.

Say, “I love you, Amma.”

Because no success in the world feels complete if the person who first believed in you feels forgotten.

సినిమాకు ప్రమోషన్ అవసరమే కానీ...

ఈమధ్య నటుడు, దర్శకుడు రవిబాబు ఇంటర్వ్యూ ఒకటి అక్కడక్కడా బైట్స్ చూశాను. కుండ బద్దలు కొట్టినట్టు బాగా చెప్పాడు రవిబాబు. 

ఒక్క ముక్కలో రవిబాబు మాటల్లో చెప్పాలంటే:

"మొత్తం పెంట పెంట చేసేశారు వీళ్ళంతా!"

నేను రాసింది అన్నీ కాదు. ఇంకొన్ని కూడా ఉంటాయి. 

ఐడియా వచ్చిందే ఆలస్యం... దానికో పేరు పెట్టి చేసెయ్యడమే. 

ఇవన్ని చేసినా 95% సినిమాలు ఫెయిల్ అవుతాయి. 5% లోపు సినిమాలు మాత్రమే సక్సెస్ అవుతాయి.

నిజంగా ఈ "పెంట ప్రమోషన్" ఎఫెక్ట్ అంటూ ఏదైనా ఉంటే, అన్ని సినిమాలూ సక్సెస్ అవ్వాలి కదా? 

సినిమాకు ప్రమోషన్ అవసరమే కానీ... 

ఇంత నాన్సెన్స్ అనవసరం.

ప్రేక్షకులకు నచ్చితేనే ఏ సినిమా అయినా హిట్ అయ్యేది. 

వాళ్లకు నచ్చేలా, నచ్చి థియేటర్‌కు వచ్చేలా చెయ్యగలిగే ఒక్క ట్రయలర్ చాలు. ఆ ట్రయలర్‌ను ఆన్‌లైనంతా స్ప్రెడ్ చెయ్యగలిగే సోషల్ మీడియా & యూట్యూబ్ స్ట్రాటెజీ చాలు. 

మిగిలిందంతా వృధా. 

అంత వృధా ఖర్చుతో, 

ఏకంగా ఒకటో రెండో చిన్న బడ్జెట్ సినిమాలు 

చాలా ఈజీగా చెయ్యొచ్చు.

అనుకోకుండా ఒక ఉదయం

అప్పట్లో నేను మద్రాసు (ఇప్పుడు చెన్నై) ఎక్కువగా వెళ్తుండేవాణ్ణి. ఇది దాదాపు పాతికేళ్ళ క్రితం మాట. నా ఘోస్ట్ రైటింగ్, ఇతరత్రా పనులు అయిపోయిన తర్వాత, సినీఫీల్డులోని ఎవరో ఒకరిని తప్పకుండా కలిసి, మాట్లాడి వచ్చేవాణ్ణి.  

కర్నూలు-టు-మద్రాసు, మద్రాసు-టు-కర్నూలు. 

ఇదంతా నేను కర్నూలు ఆలిండియా రేడియో (ఎఫ్ ఎమ్) లో పనిచేస్తున్నప్పటి నేపథ్యం. 

ఇలాంటి ఒక సందర్భంలోనే, నేను చెన్నై వెళ్ళినప్పుడు దర్శకులు బాపు గారిని, సింగీతం శ్రీనివాసరావు గారిని కూడా కలిసి మాట్లాడాను. వారితో మాట్లాడినదంతా, ఒక ఇంటర్వ్యూలా నా వాక్‌మన్‌లో రికార్డ్ చేశాను. ఆ టేప్స్ ఇంకా నా దగ్గరున్నాయి. వాటిని త్వరలో డిజిటలైజ్ చెయ్యాలి.  

అప్పుడే, ఎన్నో వందరోజుల చిత్రాలకు కథలు అందించిన సినీరచయిత సత్యమూర్తి గారిని కూడా వాళ్ళింట్లో రెండురోజులు వరుసగా కలిశాను. వాళ్ళింట్లో భోజనం చేస్తూ, నా తొలిసినిమా స్క్రిప్టు గురించి కూడా చర్చించాము. అప్పటికి నేనింకా డైరెక్టర్ అవలేదు.  

సత్యమూర్తి గారి అబ్బాయే మ్యూజిక్ డైరెక్టర్ దేవీశ్రీప్రసాద్. 

దేవిశ్రీప్రసాద్‌ను కూడా మొదటిసారిగా మద్రాసులోని వాళ్ళింట్లోనే కలిశాను, అది వేరే ఎపిసోడ్.        

ఇలాంటి ఇంకో సందర్భంలో చెన్నైలో వి ఏ కే రంగారావు గారిని కూడా కలిశాను. వారి దగ్గరున్న వేలాది గ్రామఫోన్ రికార్డుల కలెక్షన్‌ చూసి నాకు మతిపోయింది. పుస్తకాలైతే లెక్కే లేదు. డజన్ల కొద్దీ రాక్స్.

బ్రిటిష్ ఫిలిం ఈన్‌స్టిట్యూట్ బుక్స్, "వెరైటీ" మ్యాగజైన్ స్పెషల్ ఇష్యూస్ మొట్టమొదటిసారిగా నేను వీ ఏ కే గారి దగ్గరే చూశాను. 

వీ ఏ కే గారిని రెండోసారి వాళ్ళింట్లో కలిసినప్పుడు... అక్కడే లాయర్, కాలమిస్టు, వీ ఏ కే గారి లాగే సినిమా చరిత్రను మునివేళ్ల మీద చెప్పగలిగే "రాండార్ గై" గారిని కూడా కలిశాను.    

అసలు వీ ఏ కే గారి లోకం వేరే. 

ఆయన దగ్గరికి కలవడానికి వచ్చే మనుషులు వేరే. 

అక్కడ నేనున్నప్పుడే ఒకసారి ఒక క్లాసికల్ డాన్సర్ అమెరికా నుంచి వచ్చారు. మద్రాసులో ఆమె డాన్స్ ప్రోగ్రాం కోసం వీ ఏ కే గారి సలహాలు తీసుకున్నారు. 

అన్నట్టు వీ ఏ కే గారు క్లాసికల్ డాన్సర్ కూడా.  

"మనోహర్, నన్ను తాతగారూ అని పిలవ్వోయ్!" అన్నారొకసారి... ఇద్దరం కలిసి వాళ్ళింట్లో భోజనం చేస్తుండగా. 

మా మధ్య ఉత్తర ప్రత్యుత్తరాలు కూడా బాగానే నడిచాయి అప్పట్లో. 

చెన్నైలో, మాజీ కేంద్రమంత్రి చిదంబరం ఇంటికి సరిగ్గా ఎదురుగా విశాలంగా ఉండే వీ ఏ కే గారి ఇంటి పేరు... "రామ్ మహల్" అని నాకింకా గుర్తుంది.

బహుశా ఇప్పుడక్కడ ఆ ఇల్లు ఉండకపోవచ్చు. 
వీ ఏ కే గారు ఇప్పుడు చెన్నైలోనే ఇంకోచోట ఉంటున్నట్టు తెలిసింది.    

కట్ చేస్తే -                

"ఒక సినీ విజ్ఞాన సర్వస్వం జీవనశైలి" అన్న శీర్షికతో దాదాపు 15 ఏళ్ల క్రితం వి ఏ కే రంగారావు గారి మీద ఒక పెద్ద వ్యాసం నేను రాశాను. నా చేతి వ్రాతలో సుమారు 20 పేజీలుంటుంది.  

"ఇండియా టుడే" స్పెషల్ ఇష్యూలో గాని, "వార్త" సండే ఎడిషన్లో గాని పబ్లిష్ చేయించాలని నా ఆలోచన. కాని, ఎప్పటికప్పుడు "నెక్స్‌ట్ వీక్ చూద్దాం" అనుకొంటూ, అదలా పక్కన పడిపోయింది. క్షమించరానంత ఆలస్యం జరిగింది.

ఈ మధ్యే వీ ఏ కే గారిని సంప్రదించి, ఇటీవలి విషయాలు కూడా కనుక్కొని, నా వ్యాసాన్ని మళ్ళీ కొత్తగా, తాజాగా పూర్తిచేశాను.

మొన్నీమధ్యే, వీ ఏ కే గారి మీద నా వ్యాసాన్ని నా మిత్రుడు, "పాలపిట్ట" ఎడిటర్ గుడిపాటికి పంపించాను. త్వరలో పాలపిట్టలో ఈ వ్యాసం వస్తుంది. 

దీని కోసం, నేను వీ ఏ కే గారితో తీసుకొన్న ఒకే ఒక్క ఫోటో కోసం ఇవ్వాళ ఉదయం వెతుకుతుండగా, నా కళ్ళముందు కనిపించిన ఎన్నెన్నో ఫోటోలు నన్ను చాలా బాధపెట్టాయి. ప్రశ్నించాయి. 

అప్పటి నేను వేరే. 

ఇప్పుడు నేను ఏంటి అనేది నాకే తెలీదు.
