Don’t Wait for Inspiration—Train It

I write only when inspiration strikes.
Fortunately it strikes every morning at nine o’clock sharp.
― W. Somerset Maugham

Inspiration is romantic.
Routine is effective.

Most people wait to feel ready.
Professionals decide to begin.

Nine o’clock is not magic.
It’s a signal.

A signal that says:
“This is when I show up.”

Not because the mood is perfect.
But because the work matters.

When you show up daily, something shifts.
The blank page becomes familiar.
Resistance becomes smaller.
Output becomes inevitable.

Inspiration doesn’t lead to work.
Work leads to inspiration.

Set your hour.
Protect it.

And watch the muse learn your schedule.
