మనమేం చేస్తున్నాం, మనకేం కావాలి?

మూడ్ బాగోలేక నా పాత బ్లాగ్ పోస్టులను బ్రౌజ్ చేస్తోంటే ఇది కనిపించింది. 

నా దృష్టిలో ఇదేదో ఉత్తుత్తి స్టేట్‌మెంట్ కాదు. నా అనుభవంలో నేను కూడా గమనించిన ఒక నిజం.

డబ్బు - 3 సూత్రాలు: 

1. చదువుకోనివాడి లక్ష్యం స్పష్టంగా ఉంటుంది. మొండిగా ఆ ఒక్కదాని గురించే కష్టపడతాడు, సాధిస్తాడు. 

2. చదువుకున్నవాడికి పది లక్ష్యాలుంటాయి. పది పడవలమీద కాళ్లు పెడతాడు. ఏ ఒక్కటీ సాధించలేడు.

3. చదువుకు, సంపాదనకు అస్సలు సంబంధం లేదు. "నాకేం కావాలి? నేనెంత సంపాదించాలి? దానికోసం నేనేం చేయాలి?" అన్న వెరీ సింపుల్ 'ఫినాన్షియల్ ఇంటలిజెన్స్' చాలు. 

పై 1, 2, 3 లను చాలా ఆలస్యంగా రియలైజ్ కావడమంత దురదృష్టం ఇంకొకటి లేదు.  

బట్, నో వర్రీ.

కనీసం, రియలైజ్ అయిన మరుక్షణం నుంచైనా, వొళ్లు దగ్గరపెట్టుకొని, "మనమేం చేస్తున్నాం, మనకేం కావాలి" అన్న విషయంలో కొంచెం ఆలోచించి నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకొంటే చాలు.

ఫలితాలు అవే ఫాలో అవుతాయి.

అసలేం గుర్తుకురాదు...

హిట్టూ ఫట్టులతో  సంబంధం లేకుండా వీరి అన్ని సినిమాలను నేను తప్పకుండా చూస్తుంటాను. 

'అసలేం గుర్తుకురాదు' అనే పాటలో సౌందర్య అందాన్ని ఆయన పెట్టిన ఫ్రేమ్స్ బీట్ చేస్తుంటాయి. టాబూ ఫీలింగ్స్‌ని వీరికన్నా అందంగా క్యాప్చర్ చేసిన సినిమా నేను చూడలేదు. ఒక ఇరవై మంది ఉన్న కుటుంబాన్ని వీరు చూపించినదానికంటే ఆత్మీయంగా ఇంకెవ్వరైనా చూపిస్తారా అన్నది నాకిప్పటికీ డౌటే. తలకాయ కూర ప్లేట్లో వేసుకొని అతి మామూలుగా కింద నేలమీద కూర్చొని తిన్న ప్రకాశ్‌రాజ్‌ను అంతకంటే అత్యంత సహజమైన నటనలో నేనింకా చూళ్ళేదు. సౌందర్య కావచ్చు, సోనాలి బింద్రే కావచ్చు... వీరి ఫ్రేముల్లో దిద్దుకున్న అందాన్ని మరోచోట మనం చూడలేం. 

బైక్ మీద, కాటమరాంగ్ బోట్ మీద పూర్తిపాటల్ని అంత బాగా, అంత కిక్కీగా తీయగలం అన్న ఆలోచన వీరికే వస్తుంది. శశిరేఖా పరిణయాలూ, చందమామలూ, గులాబీలూ వీరు తీసినంత అందంగా మరొకరు తీయలేరేమో. సిందూరాలూ, ఖడ్గాలూ వీరివల్లనే తెరమీద చూస్తాం. రాఖీలు, చక్రాలు వీరు తీస్తేనే చూడగలం. ఎన్టీఆర్ చెప్పే ఒకే ఒక్క డైలాగ్‌తో మనకు తెలీకుండానే మన కళ్ళు వర్షిస్తుంటాయి. ప్రభాస్ అసలు డైలాగ్ చెప్పకుండానే అతని ముఖాన్ని పట్టుకున్న ఆ ఫ్రేమ్ మనల్ని చాలెంజ్ చేస్తుంది... మీ కంట్లో తడి రాకుండా ఆపుకోగలరా అని.   

ఒక ఫ్రేమ్ కోసం, ఒక ఫీలింగ్ కోసం, ఒక డైలాగ్ కోసం, డైలాగ్ లేని ఒక క్లోజప్ కోసం, మొత్తంగా మీ మార్క్ క్రియేటివిటీ కోసం... మీ సినిమాల్ని మేం చూస్తూనే ఉంటాం.

రక్తం రుచి మరిగిన ప్రేక్షకులు!

ఇప్పుడు బ్లాక్ బస్టర్ హిట్ అవుతున్న 90 శాతం సినిమాల నిండా కత్తులు, కొడవళ్ళు, గన్స్, ఇంకా కొత్త కొత్త రకాల మారణాయుధాలతో నిజంగా రక్తాన్ని ఏరులు పారిస్తున్నారు. సర్ర్... సర్ర్ మని నరికి పోగులు పెడుతున్న శబ్దాలతో సినిమా హాల్స్ షేక్ అయిపోతున్నాయి. 

ఒక్క థియేటర్స్‌లోనే కాదు, ఓటీటీల్లో కూడా ఈ బ్లడ్‌షెడ్ క్రైమ్ సినిమాలకే వ్యూయర్‌షిప్ ఎక్కువగా ఉంటోంది. 

హీరోలు, డైరెక్టర్స్ వారి ఒక్కో సినిమాకు ఈ బ్లడ్‌షెడ్ లెవల్స్‌ని ఇంకా ఇంకా పెంచుకుంటూ పోతున్నారు. ఆఖరికి ఇలాంటి సినిమాలు తీసే పోటీ ఎక్కడిదాకా వెళ్ళిందంటే - ఇలాంటి రక్తప్రవాహపు సీన్లల్లో రోజుల పసికందును కూడా చంపడానికి పెట్టి తమాషా చూసే సైకిక్ మైండ్‌సెట్ లెవెల్ దాకా!     

ఇలాంటి రక్తపాతం లేని సినిమాల్ని ప్రేక్షకులు తిప్పికొడుతుండటం ఆశ్చర్యం. 

ఈమధ్యనే వచ్చిన ఒక సూపర్ నీట్ సినిమాలో కూడా "ప్రొడ్యూసర్-డిస్ట్రిబ్యూటర్స్-బిజినెస్" అవసరాల దృష్ట్యానో, లేదంటే "నేనూ రక్తం ఏరులు పారించగలను" అన్నది చెప్పడానికో గాని, ఆ సినిమాలో కూడా ఒక సీన్లో నరకడాలు, రక్తాలు బాగానే చొప్పించగలిగాడు డైరెక్టర్.       

ఆ సినిమా కూడా హిట్ అయింది. 

ఇష్టం ఉన్నా లేకపోయినా డైరెక్టర్స్ అందరికీ ఇప్పుడిదే ట్రెండ్.

ట్రెండ్ ఫాలో కాకపోతే వచ్చిన అవకాశం పోతుందన్న భయం! డైరెక్టర్‌గా వెనకబడిపోతున్నా అనుకుంటారేమోనన్న భయం!   

గమనించారో లేదో... ఇలాంటి సినిమాల ప్రభావం సమాజంలో చాలా ప్రస్పుటంగా కనిపిస్తోంది. లెక్కలేనన్ని మర్డర్ వారలు రోజూ చూస్తున్నాం. భార్యని భర్త, భర్తని భార్య, తల్లిని కూతురు, తండ్రిని కొడుకు... ఇలా చాలా సింపుల్‌గా చంపేసుకుంటున్నారు. అంతకుముందు ఇవి లేవని కాదు. కాని వీటి సంఖ్య, వేగం ఇప్పుడు చాలా చాలా పెరిగింది.   

సినిమాల వల్ల ప్రయోజనం లేదని ఎవరంటారు?    

కట్ చేస్తే - 

ఈ రక్తప్రవాహాల సినిమాలు ఇంకా చాలా చాలా రావాలి అని నా ఉద్దేశ్యం. అలాంటి సినిమాలను చూసీ చూసీ ప్రేక్షకులకు విసుగొస్తుంది. మొహం మొత్తుతుంది. బోర్ కొడుతుంది. 

అప్పుడు మళ్ళీ కొత్తగా ఫీల్ గుడ్ సినిమాలు, ప్రేమకథలు వరుసపెట్టి రావడం మొదలవుతుంది. ప్రేక్షకులకు కాస్త మామూలు మనుషులవుతారు. 

కొత్తవాళ్లతో తీసిన హిందీ సినిమా "సయ్యారా" కేవలం మూడురోజుల్లో 99 కోట్ల కలెక్షన్ చేయడం - రాబోతున్న ప్రేమకథల, ఫీల్ గుడ్ సినిమాల పాజిటివ్ ప్రవాహానికి నాంది అనిపిస్తుంది నాకు.

2012 నుంచీ నాకున్న ఒకే ఒక్క అత్యంత ఆత్మీయ స్నేహితురాలు...

ఒకసారెప్పుడో "బ్లాగర్" అన్న పదం నా బయోలో పెట్టుకోనా వద్దా అని నా స్టుడెంట్ ఒకరిని అడిగాను. 

"అసలు అదే మీ యు యస్ పి సర్. ఇంకేం పెట్టుకోకపోయినా పర్లేదు. బ్లాగర్ ఉండాలి" అన్నాడు నా స్టుడెంట్. 

కట్ చేస్తే -  

"ఎవరేమనుకుంటారో అన్న ఘర్షణ, భయం లేకుండా నేను అసలు ఒక్క బ్లాగ్ పోస్ట్ కూడా ఇప్పటివరకు పోస్ట్ చేయలేదు" అంటాడు జేమ్స్ ఆల్టుచర్.   

నా బ్లాగులో కూడా అలాంటి మరీ ఇబ్బందికరమైన టూ మచ్ పర్సనల్ థింగ్స్ కొన్ని ఉన్నాయి. కొన్ని ప్రొఫెషనల్లీ పర్సనల్ పోస్టులు, కొన్ని మరీ ఓపెన్ సెల్ఫ్ ప్రమోషన్స్!

అయితే - జేమ్స్ ఆల్టుచర్ లాగే, నేను కూడా వాటి గురించి ఇప్పుడు అసలు పట్టించుకోవటం లేదు. 

మన జీవితంలోని మంచి చెడుల గురించి, సుఖ సంతోషాల గురించీ మనకి మనం నెమరేసుకొంటూ, ఆత్మ విమర్శ చేసుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం ఎప్పటికప్పుడు చాలా ఉంటుంది. బ్లాగింగ్ లాంటి "ఫ్లో రైటింగ్" వల్ల శాస్త్రీయంగా నాకు లభించే గొప్ప ఉపయోగం అదే. 

బ్లాగింగ్ ఒక అద్భుతమైన సాధనం. నమ్మరు కాని, బ్లాగింగ్ నిజంగా మనల్ని వేరే ఎడిక్షన్స్ జోలికి వెళ్లకుండా ఆరోగ్యంగా ఉంచుతుంది. భౌతికంగానే కాదు, మానసికంగా కూడా.   

ఎవరేమనుకుంటారో అన్న మైండ్‌సెట్ లోంచి బయటపడగలిగితే చాలు... బ్లాగింగ్, మనతో మనం మాట్లాడుకోడానికి ఒక మంచి ఔట్‌లెట్‌లా పనిచేస్తుంది. ఎలాంటి హిపోక్రసీ, ఇన్‌హిబిషన్స్ లేకుండా అన్నీ పంచుకోగలిగిన ఒక అత్యంత ఆత్మీయమైన అతిదగ్గరి స్నేహితురాలు అవుతుంది. 

అంతకు మించి ఇంకేం కావాలి నాకు? ఆ కోణంలో, 2012 నుంచీ నాకున్న ఒకే ఒక్క అత్యంత ఆత్మీయ స్నేహితురాలు... నా బ్లాగింగ్.

ఇదేం థర్డ్‌గ్రేడ్ యూట్యూబ్ థంబ్‌నెయిల్ కాదు. నాకు నేను వేసుకొన్న ప్రశ్న. నాకు సమాధానం తెలిసిన ప్రశ్న. 

కట్ చేస్తే -

ఈ భూమ్మీదున్న జనాభాలోని ప్రతి 140 మందిలో ఒక మిలియనేర్ ఉన్నారట! ఇక్కడ మిలియనేర్ అంటే, అమెరికన్ డాలర్స్‌లో మిలియనేర్. 

అంటే, ఈరోజు లెక్కప్రకారం, సుమారు 8.6 కోట్లు. 

గ్లోబల్ వెల్త్ రిపోర్ట్ ఆధారంగా, నోమాడ్ కాపిటలిస్ట్ వంటి సోర్సులు చెప్తున్న ఈ న్యూస్ ఐటమ్ చదివాక, నాకు నిజంగా సిగ్గేసింది. 

ఇదేం లక్షల్లో కాంపిటీషన్ కాదు. జస్ట్ ఒక 140 మందిలో నేనూ ఒక మిలియనేర్ కావాలని ఇప్పటిదాకా ఎందుకు అనుకోలేదు? అలాంటి హార్డ్ వర్క్, స్మార్ట్ వర్క్ ఎందుకని చెయ్యలేకపోయాను? కనీసం ఇప్పుడైనా అవ్వాలనుకుంటున్నానా?

ఒకటి వదిలేస్తే నేనూ మిలియనేర్ కావడం పెద్ద కష్టం కాదు. ఆ ఒక్కటి ఎప్పుడు వదిలేస్తానన్నదే నన్ను ఎప్పటికప్పుడు ఆడిస్తున్న చిక్కు ప్రశ్న.

టు బి ఆర్ నాట్ టు బి...

ఎప్పటికప్పుడు నా నిర్ణయాలు మారుతుంటాయి...
ఒకే ఒక్క విషయంలో. 

అది - సినిమా. 

అందుకే ఇంక నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకోవడం మానేశాను. నాకు కావల్సిన ఫ్రీడమ్ వచ్చే వరకు ఎలాగూ తప్పదు కాబట్టి, నాకు కొత్తగా ఇబ్బందులు క్రియేట్ కానంతవరకు కంటిన్యూ చేస్తాను.

ఒక క్రియేటివ్ ప్రొఫెషన్‌గా, ఎట్ లీస్ట్, ఆ ప్రాసెస్ అయినా ఒక రెండేళ్ళు ఎంజాయ్ చెయ్యాలనుకొంటున్నాను.

అన్నీ అనుకున్నట్టు జరిగితే, త్వరలో ఒక కొత్త భారీ స్టార్టప్ పెట్టబోతున్నాం. ఒకసారి దూకాం అంటే, ఇంక అవతలి ఒడ్డుకి చేరేదాకా కలిసి ప్రయాణం చేయగల సత్తా ఉన్నవారికే ఇందులో అవకాశం ఉంటుంది. 

పిరికివాళ్ళకు, గోడమీద పిల్లులకు, మాటమీద నిలబడలేని మోరన్‌లకు, ముందుకుతోసి వెనుకవెనుకనే మాయమయ్యేవాళ్లకు, వాళ్లేం చేస్తున్నారో వాళ్ళకే తెలీని గొప్ప అమాయకులకు, 'స్టాప్ బ్లాక్' లో చెప్పాచెయ్యక తప్పుకునేవాళ్లకు... ఇది రైట్ ప్లాట్‌ఫామ్ కాదు. రైట్ స్కూల్ కాదు.  

ఒక రెండేళ్ళు ఝలక్ చూపించాలి. అదొక్కటే గోల్.

ఇందాక ఒక ఫేస్‌బుక్ పోస్ట్ చూశాను పొరపాటున. బహుశా అతనొక మేధావో, రచయితో, కవో, క్రిటిక్కో అయ్యుంటాడు. 

"8 వసంతాలు" సినిమా ఈనాడు ఆదివారం కథలా ఉంది అన్నాడు. కెమెరా పనితనం సినిమా అనిపించుకోదు అన్నాడు. 

ఆ సినిమా మీద తన అభిప్రాయం అలా వ్యక్తం చేశాడు. ఆ హక్కు ఆయనకుంది. అది వేరే విషయం. 

కట్ చేస్తే - 

ఇదే ఫేస్‌బుక్‌లో ఇదే సినిమా మీద ఇంకొకపోస్టు నిన్నచూశాను. 

"8 వసంతాలు" సినిమా "ఇమ్మెచ్యూరే", కాని ఇలాంటి సినిమాలను మనం ఆహ్వానించాలి అన్నారామె. 

నెగెటివ్ మైండ్‌సెట్‌కు, పాజిటివ్ మైండ్‌సెట్‌కు మధ్య డిఫరెన్స్ ఇలా ఉంటుంది. 

అదృష్టవశాత్తూ, ఫేస్‌బుక్‌లో ఒక 20 శాతమైనా ఇలాంటి పాజిటివ్ మైండ్‌సెట్ ఉన్న రచయితలు, కవులు, మేధావులు ఉన్నారు.

సోషల్ మీడియాతో ప్రారంభం... 

ఎక్స్, ఫేస్‌బుక్, ఫేస్‌బుక్ పేజ్... అన్నీ వదిలేశా. ఇన్‌స్టాగ్రామ్ ఒక్కటే ఇక. 

నిజంగా ఏదైనా సాధించాలనుకొంటే, ఒక్క సోషల్ మీడియా ప్లాట్‌ఫామ్ చాలు.

టైమ్‌పాస్‌కయితే పది కావాలి. 

టైమ్ పాస్ చేసే అంత టైమ్ నాకు లేదు కాబట్టి ఒక్కదానికే లిమిట్ చేసుకున్నాను. 

ఇన్‌స్టాగ్రామ్ చాలు.

ఒక 10-12 పోస్టుల తర్వాత, నాకెంతో ప్రియమైన బ్లాగ్‌ని కూడా దాదాపుగా వదిలేయాలనుకొంటున్నాను. ఏదైనా తప్పనిసరిగా రాయాలనుకొన్నప్పుడు ఈ బ్లాగింగ్ ప్లాట్‌ఫామ్ అవసరం కాబట్టి, అలా ఎప్పుడైనా దీన్ని ఉపయోగించుకోవచ్చు. లేదంటే, ఇన్‌స్టాగ్రామ్ ఒక్కటి చాలు.

సముద్రం అంటే నాకెందుకంత ఇష్టం?

సముద్రం...

ఈ ఒక్క పదాన్ని పట్టుకొని రోజుకో కథ రాయాలనిపిస్తుంది. 

రోజుకో బ్లాగ్ పోస్టు రాయాలనిపిస్తుంది. 

నిజంగా సముద్రం అంటే నాకెందుకంత పిచ్చి?

కృష్ణశాస్త్రికి విషాదం అంటే ఎందుకంత ఇష్టం అంటే ఏం చెప్తాం? 

ఇదీ అంతే. 

కొన్నిటికి అర్థాలుండవు.

వెతకాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు.

గతంలో సుమారు నాలుగేళ్ళక్రితం రాసిన నా బ్లాగ్ పోస్టు ఒకటి మళ్ళీ ఇక్కడ పోస్ట్ చేస్తున్నాను.

ఎంతైనా వైజాగ్ అందమే వేరు!

సముద్రం మీద వ్యామోహంతో ఇంతకుముందు నాకు ఎప్పుడు వీలైతే అప్పుడు... ఎక్కువగా గోవా, పాండిచ్చేరిలకు వెళ్లేవాణ్ణి. 

ఈ రెండూ నాకు ఇప్పటికీ చాలా ఇష్టమైన ప్రదేశాలు. 

దేని ప్రత్యేకత దానిదే.

అయితే... గోవా, పాండిచ్చేరిల కంటే ఇప్పుడు వైజాగే నాకు మరింత బాగా అనిపిస్తోంది.

బీచ్ రోడ్దు నుంచి భీమిలీ దాకా... అలా సముద్రాన్ని చూసుకొంటూ కార్లో వెళ్తూ, నచ్చినచోట దిగి కాసేపు ఆగుతూ, రోజులకి రోజులే గడిపేయొచ్చు.

నాకెప్పుడు అవకాశం దొరికినా నేనిదే పని చేస్తాను. 

ఈ పని చేయడం కోసం, నా పనుల్లో ఎంతవరకు వీలైతే అంతవరకు వైజాగ్‌లో చేసుకోగలిగే అవకాశాల్ని సృష్టించుకొంటున్నాను. ఈ మధ్య నా ప్రొఫెషనల్ పనులమీద కూడా వైజాగ్‌కే ఎక్కువసార్లు వెళ్లాల్సిరావడం నాకు నిజంగా ఆశ్చర్యం కలిగించింది. లేటెస్ట్‌గా మొన్న ఏప్రిల్‌లో కూడా వెళ్ళాను.  

వైజాగ్ అనగానే నాకు ముందుగా గుర్తొచ్చేది సముద్రం.  

తర్వాత చలం... భీమ్‌లీ... ఆ తర్వాత అరకు... స్టీల్ ప్లాంట్... పోర్ట్... గంగవరం బీచ్‌లో నేను షూట్ చేసినప్పుడు, అదే స్టీల్ ప్లాంట్ గెస్ట్ హౌజ్‌లో మా టీమ్‌తో నేనున్న నాలుగు రోజులూ... ఆర్కే బీచ్, అక్కడి కాఫీడే... రిషికొండ బీచ్, అక్కడి రిసార్ట్స్... రియోబీచ్, నొవాటెల్ హోటళ్ళూ... ఎయిర్‌పోర్టూ, బస్‌స్టాండూ... లలితా జ్యువెల్లరీస్ దగ్గర్లో ఫుట్‌పాత్ మీద బొకేలమ్మే చిన్న షాపూ... కొంచెం దూరంలో గాజువాకలోని సినిమా హాళ్ళూ... గ్రీన్ యాపిల్ హోటల్... వైజాగ్ సిటీలోనూ, స్టీల్‌ప్లాంట్ చుట్టుపక్కలా వున్న నా ఆత్మీయ మిత్రులు, శ్రేయోభిలాషులూ... ఇంకా బోల్డన్నున్నాయి నాకు గుర్తొచ్చేవి. 

1987లో అనుకుంటాను, మా ఎమ్మే క్లాస్‌మేట్స్‌తో నేను మొట్టమొదటిసారిగా వైజాగ్ వెళ్ళాను. అదికూడా, ఒరిస్సాలోని కోణార్క్, భువనేశ్వర్‌ల నుంచి మా తిరుగు ప్రయాణంలో.  

సుమారు పదేళ్ళ క్రితం... నా మొదటి సినిమా షూటింగ్ కోసం కూడా, నా టీమ్‌తో ఓ నాలుగయిదు రోజులున్నాను వైజాగ్‌లో. కేవలం ఒక మంచి లొకేషన్‌గా తప్ప అప్పుడు కూడా వైజాగ్ అంటే మరీ అంత ప్రత్యేకమైన ఫీలింగేమీ లేదు నాకు. తర్వాత మరికొన్నిసార్లు వైజాగ్ వెళ్లాను గానీ, ఎప్పుడు కూడా వైజాగ్‌ను అంత పెద్ద స్పెషల్‌గా నేనేం ఫీలవ్వలేదు. 

గత మూడు నాలుగేళ్ళుగానే ఉన్నట్టుండి ఒక్కసారిగా వైజాగ్ నాకు అత్యంత ఇష్టమైన విజిటింగ్ ప్లేస్ అయింది... 

పాండిచ్చేరి, గోవాలు వైజాగ్ తర్వాతే కదా అనిపించసాగింది. వాటి ప్రత్యేకతలు వాటికున్నా, 'వైజాగ్ అందమే వేరు' అని నేను పూర్తిగా ఫిక్స్ అయిపోయాను. 

గొప్ప గొప్ప రచయితలు, కవులకు, వారి రచనలకూ పుట్టిల్లుగా వైజాగ్ సాహితీ సాంస్కృతిక నేపథ్యం నాకు ముందే తెలుసు. అయితే - వైజాగ్ నన్ను ఇంత బాగా ఆకర్షించడానికి ఇదొక్కటే కారణం ఎంత మాత్రం కాదు. 

కొన్నిటికి కారణాలుండవు. లాజిక్కులుండవు. అలా జరిగిపోతాయంతే. 

అంతా ఒక స్పిరిచువల్ కనెక్షన్‌లా అనిపిస్తుంది నాకు.

అసలేంటీ... ఒక ప్రదేశంపైన అంత ఈజీగా నిర్వచించలేని ఈ ప్రేమ... కాదల్... ఇష్క్... మొహబ్బత్... ల్యుబోఫ్... లవ్... ?!  

లవ్ అనగానే కూడా నాకు ముందు గుర్తొచ్చేది వైజాగే.
బాలచందర్ అపూర్వ సృష్టి 'మరోచరిత్ర'... బాలు-స్వప్న-భీమిలి... కమలహాసన్-సరిత-'పదహారేళ్ళకూ' పాట... 

ఐ థింక్... 

నా లవ్ కూడా అక్కడే ఉంది, వైజాగ్‌లో. 

వైజాగ్‌లో ఉన్న నా లవ్, నా ప్రేయసి, నా వాలెంటైన్ మరెవరో కాదు... సముద్రం.  

'కాని సముద్రం ఇంకా చాలా చోట్ల ఉంది కదా' అంటే, ఉండొచ్చు. ఇది వేరే. 

'అదెలా' అంటే చెప్పడానికి నాదగ్గర కారణాల్లేవు.

ట్రెండ్ అలా ఉంది!

మొన్న నేను చేసిన ఒక రోడ్-క్రైం-థ్రిల్లర్ సినిమా "ఎర్ర గులాబి" మేకింగ్ సమయంలో కొత్తగా చాలా తెలుసుకున్నాను.

ముఖ్యంగా రెండు విషయాలు: 

1. అంతకు ముందు ఒక్క సినిమా కూడా చేసిన అనుభవం లేకపోయినా, ఫిలిం మేకింగ్‌కు సంబంధించిన అ-ఆలు కూడా ఏం తెలీకపోయినా, ఎలాంటి సంకోచం లేకుండా, ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ సినిమా ఎలా చేయాలన్న దాని మీద మనకు పాఠాలు చెప్తారు. ఈ ఒక్క విషయంలోనే అందరూ ఉరికురికి ముందుకొస్తుంటారు.   

2. డైరెక్షన్ డిపార్ట్‌మెంట్‌లో పనిచేయటం అంటే - టీమ్‌లో ఎవరిష్టమొచ్చినట్టు వాళ్ళు రావటం, పోవటం, రాకపోవటం, చెప్పాపెట్టకుండా వెళ్ళిపోవటం, అసలా డిపార్ట్‌మెంట్‌కే వాల్యూ ఇవ్వకపోవటం.

Never prayed for a rain-free day during an outdoor shoot with 100 extras waiting. Never got ghosted by a producer after working for 6 months.

తర్వాతెప్పుడో ఒక రెండుమూడేళ్ళ తర్వాత చూసుకున్నప్పుడు - నేను ఇలా రాశానా? అసలు ఇదెందుకు రాశాను? ఇది రాయాల్సింది కాదు... అనిపిస్తుంది. 

ముఖ్యంగా కొన్ని పోస్టుల విషయంలో మరీ సిల్లీగా అనిపిస్తుంది.  

కాని, అదంతే. 

ఏం తప్పుకాదు.

బ్లాగ్‌లో ఇవి మాత్రమే రాయాలని కాని రూల్స్ ఏం లేవు. 

మనవాళ్ళు ఎవరైనా చదివితే ఏమనుకుంటారు?
బయటివారైనా సరే, చదివి ఏమనుకుంటారో... అనే ఘర్షణ ఎప్పుడూ ఉంటుంది. 

"అసలు అలాంటి ఎవరేమనుకుంటారో అన్న ఘర్షణ, భయం లేకుండా నేను అసలు ఒక్క బ్లాగ్ పోస్ట్ కూడా ఇప్పటివరకు పోస్ట్ చేయలేదు" అంటాడు జేమ్స్ ఆల్టుచర్. 

నా బ్లాగులో కూడా అలాంటి మరీ ఇబ్బందికరమైన టూ మచ్ పర్సనల్ థింగ్స్ అప్పుడప్పుడూ కొన్ని తొంగిచూస్తుంటాయి. 

అయితే - జేమ్స్ ఆల్టుచర్ లాగే, నేను కూడా వాటి గురించి ఇప్పుడు అసలు పట్టించుకోవటం లేదు. 

మన జీవితంలోని మంచి, చెడుల గురించి... సుఖ సంతోషాల గురించీ మనకి మనం నెమరేసుకొంటూ, ఆత్మ విమర్శ చేసుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం కూడా ఎప్పటికప్పుడు చాలా ఉంటుంది. 

ఇలాంటి "ఫ్లో రైటింగ్" వల్ల శాస్త్రీయంగా చాలా లాభాలున్నాయి. 

నమ్మరు కాని, బ్లాగింగ్ నిజంగా మనకు ఆరోగ్యాన్నిస్తుంది. భౌతికంగానే కాదు, మానసికంగా కూడా. 

ఎవరేమనుకుంటారో అన్న మైండ్‌సెట్ లోంచి బయటపడగలిగితే చాలు... బ్లాగింగ్, మనతో మనం మాట్లాడుకోడానికి ఒక మంచి ఔట్‌లెట్‌లా పనిచేస్తుంది. ఎలాంటి హిపోక్రసీ, ఇన్‌హిబిషన్స్ లేకుండా అన్నీ పంచుకోగలిగిన ఒక అత్యంత ఆత్మీయమైన అతిదగ్గరి స్నేహితురాలు అవుతుంది.

కాసినోలో కాసనోవా

"అంతే సర్... ఫిలిం ఓపెనింగ్ ఈవెంట్ మనం దస్పల్లాలోనే చేద్దాం. ఇన్వెస్టర్స్ అందర్నీ అక్కడికి పిలుద్దాం. ఫైవ్ క్రోర్స్ ఏంటి సార్... టెన్ వచ్చినా చెప్పలేం!" 

చాలా కాన్‌ఫిడెంట్‌గా ఒక్కో టీమ్ మెంబర్ తన జేబులో ఉన్న ఇన్వెస్టర్స్ లిస్ట్, తను పెట్టించే మినిమమ్ ఇన్వెస్ట్‌మెంట్స్ కోట్లల్లోనే చెప్పారు... "తగ్గేదేలే" అన్నట్టుగా. 

వాళ్ళు చెప్పినదాంట్లో ఒక పది శాతం జరిగినా చాలు అనుకున్నాడతను. 

కోర్ టీమ్‌లో ప్రతి ఒక్కరు మాంచి ఊపులో ఉన్నారు. ఇంతలో మధుర్ స్వీట్స్ నుంచి మాంచి కలాకంద్, ఖారా వచ్చింది. తినేశారంతా. చివర్లో మేనేజర్ తెచ్చిన టీతో కోర్ టీమ్ మీటింగ్ సంపూర్ణమైంది. 

కట్ చేస్తే -

ఒక పది పన్నెండు లక్షల ఖర్చుతో దస్పల్లాలో ఫిలిం ఓపెనింగ్ యమ గ్రాండ్‌గా జరిగింది. 

చుట్టాల పెళ్ళికి వచ్చినట్టు వచ్చిన కోర్ టీమ్ మెంబర్స్, అదే మూడ్‌లో, ఫంక్షన్ బాగానే ఎంజాయ్ చేశారు. ఎక్కడివాళ్లక్కడ వెళ్ళిపోయారు.  

కట్ చేస్తే -

ఇంకో ఆరు నెలలు గడిచింది.  

'స్టాప్ బ్లాక్' ఎఫెక్ట్‌లో కోర్ టీమ్‌లో మెంబర్స్ అంతా అదృశ్యమైపోయారు. 

నో కమ్యూనికేషన్. నో కాల్స్. నో కోట్లు. 

చూసీ చూసీ... అతడు కాల్ చేస్తేనే అటునుంచి కాల్. అతడు మెసేజ్ పెడితేనే అటునుంచి మేసేజ్. 

వాళ్ళ తప్పేం లేదు. ఏదేదో అనుకున్నారు. అవలేదు. అంతే కదా? 

ఫండ్స్ రాకపోతే పోయింది. ఫ్రెండ్‌షిప్ ఏమైంది? కర్టెసీ? 

వాట్ నెక్స్‌ట్ అనేది చర్చించుకోడానికయినా కనిపించాలి కదా? కలుస్తుండాలి కదా?

నో.  

వాళ్లేం బచ్చాలు కాదు. మాటలు కోటలు దాటుతాయి. చేతలే గడప కూడా దాటలేకపోయాయి. 

ఇవన్నీ అనుభవం మీద తెలుస్తాయి. ఎవరో చెప్తే అర్థం కాదు.  

ఓవర్. 

ఓవర్ టూ గ్రౌండ్ జీరో. 

ఇంత పవర్‌ఫుల్ కోర్ టీమ్ మాటలు, ప్రామిస్‌ల మీద నమ్మకంతోనే ప్రొడక్షన్ హౌజ్ ప్లానింగ్స్, మూడు కొత్త ప్రాజెక్టులు, స్క్రిప్ట్ వర్క్, మ్యూజిక్ వర్క్, లొకేషన్ స్కౌటింగ్స్,  అడ్వాన్స్ పేమెంట్స్, కొత్త ఆఫీస్ సెటప్, రెంట్లు, మెయింటెనెన్స్‌లు, శాలరీలు... అదీ ఇదీ అన్నీ కలిపి సింపుల్‌గా ఒక కోటి హారతి కర్పూరం అయిపోయింది.  

అప్పటికే రెండుమూడు సినిమాలు చేసి, సినిమా అంటే ఎంతో కొంత తెలిసిన అతనికే ఇంత సినిమా చూపించటం నిజంగా పెద్ద మ్యాజిక్. 

కట్ చేస్తే -

కోర్ టీమ్ మాటల మాండ్రెక్స్ మత్తులోంచి అతడు పూర్తిగా బయటికివచ్చాడు. 

"యస్", "నో" అని రెండు చీటీలు రాసి చుట్టచుట్టి టేబుల్ మీదకి విసిరాడు. వాటిల్లోంచి ఒకటి తీసి చూసుకున్నాడు. "యస్" వచ్చింది. 

జీన్స్ వెనక జేబులో ఉన్న వాలెట్‌లో జాగ్రత్తగా పెట్టుకొన్న ఒక కాయిన్ తీసి, చిత్తూ బొత్తూ వేశాడు. బొత్తు పడింది. "యస్" అన్నమాట! 

ఐఫోన్ తీసుకొని ఒక కాల్ చేశాడు. 

రిస్కీ కాల్. 

తప్పదు.

"అన్నా, రేపు పొద్దున ఫస్ట్ అవర్‌లో వస్తున్నా. అప్పుడు నేను వద్దన్న డీల్ ఇప్పుడు సెట్ చేసుకుందాం. నాకు ఓకే. డీల్ సైనింగ్ నాడే నువ్వు చెప్పినట్టు సినిమా ఎనౌన్స్‌మెంట్. పదిహేనురోజుల్లో షూటింగ్ స్టార్ట్ చేద్దాం." 

ఏంటా డీల్?

నిజంగా సెట్ అవుతుందా? 

అప్పుడెందుకు వద్దన్నాడు, ఇప్పుడెందుకు ఓకే అన్నాడు?

టెంప్లేట్స్ వేరేగా ఉండొచ్చు. కాని, ఇండస్ట్రీలో ఈ డిపార్ట్‌మెంట్‌కు చెందిన చాలామంది విషయంలో చాలావరకు జరిగేది ఇదే. ఇతని విషయంలోనూ అదే జరిగింది. 

అప్పులు, కమిట్‌మెంట్స్, డెడ్‌లైన్స్, టెన్షన్స్, స్ట్రెస్... అన్నిటినీ తన దినచర్యలో ఒక మామూలు రొటీన్‌గా చేసుకొని పరిగెడుతున్న మారథన్ అతను.  

చిమ్ముతున్న వాల్కనో శిఖరాగ్రం మీద తాండవ నృత్యం చేస్తున్నా, ఎప్పుడూ నవ్వుతూ కనిపించే కూల్ గై అతను.  

Casanova in a casino. 

అతడు... ఒక ఫిలిం డైరెక్టర్. 

ఒక హిట్ ఇచ్చేదాకా ఎవ్వరికీ తెలీదు అతనెవరో. 

అప్పటిదాకా అతనికే తెలీదు అతనెవరో.   

అదే సినిమా.
