Fiction Is a Lie That Tells Us True Things

Fiction is strange magic.

On the surface, it’s all made up — characters who never existed, dialogues never spoken, events that never happened. And yet… we feel seen. We find ourselves in those pages. We cry for people who don’t exist. We walk away with truths that hit harder than reality ever could.

Why?

Because fiction bypasses our logical mind. It doesn’t debate or preach — it invites. It lets you step into another’s soul and see the world through their wounds, their wonder, their love. And in that journey, something raw and real cracks open inside us.

The story might be a lie. But the emotions, the questions, the revelations? They’re the truest things we know.

That’s the power of fiction.
And that’s why we keep reading.
